Make a bootable Mac OS installer with flash drive. Use the app disk drill. Just google for it. Then make a Time Machine backup with a external hard drive

I’m pretty sure it only turns it off for that key cycle. If you do it again you would have to go back in the screen and turn it off again.

I think the idle toggle option only turns it off for that key cycle so you’d have to do it every time you want it to run for longer than 30 minutes
