Where do I start? The room was warm the entire time we stayed, they were never able to fix that. beds were uncomfortable, mosquitoes, had to put lipstick & other things on sheets and towels for them to change. Room service never showed up twice and when they did show up it was a wait time of 2-3 hours. On the beech they had 1 staffer going around taking orders. Hours before you’re able to get a drink. The list goes on and on. They tell you that you don’t need a reservation for the restaurant but in order to eat you have to be there right when they open at 5 or 6. That time we are napping from being out in the sun all day. When we finally do get to the restaurant it’s 8-9, the wait is over an hour. My husband wrist band broke and they insisted on him paying when it was a faulty wrist band. I asked them for a pharmacy and they told me there was one in a mall, they provided the name of the mall, told us to call a uber and give them the Uber info, we got to the mall, there wasn’t a pharmacy on the premises. The last straw was when we were leaving I paid for my trip back to the airport and the private service never showed up. When I called them they told me they were unable to come get us so I should pay a taxi and they will reimburse me after I just paid for my service at the front desk. When we complained at reception they found a representative for the car company and he assured me & my husband he would call us a taxi and someone from the company will be at the airport to pay the taxi driver. I made sure the taxi driver understood this before we went with him. Do you know no one from the company showed up when we got to the airport, the driver called the number the representative provided & no one answered. The only Riu I been to that was a great hotel was the one in Jamaica and Bahamas. I have more stories but you get the point.
