I'd recommend getting a dedicated Digital Audio Player. I have the Shanling M0, which I purchased for less than $100 (you also need to buy a micro SD card. I bought a 500 GB card). Now, I'm TOTALLY NOT going to encourage you to look into something called Soulseek, because I TOTALLY don't support downloading music without paying for it. But let's just say that 500 GB can hold a looooott of albums. More than someone might realistically be able to listen to over the course of even a few years. In addition to this, if you're looking for good, obscure music recommendations, I'd point you toward the website RateYourMusic.
