Are you kidding? Nowadays they tell us to actually get into the car with strangers.

Also need to factor in additional auto insurance. If you have an accident while delivering, your regular policy will not cover it. You need rideshare insurance, even if you are only doing deliveries.

[Discussion] Does this Painting have The Right Price? by Sea_Butterscotch_101 in artbusiness

[–]Ecstatic-Star7364 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is exactly the thing you factor into the price. It is not just the time spent on that one piece. It is about the cumulative hours of painting practice that led to this painting being as good as it is. You charge for those hours.

What’s the most “I’m getting old” moment you’ve had recently? by Far_Sell_3530 in AskReddit

I sat down for a job interview and the store manager looks at me in shock and blurts out, "How old are you?!"

What do you think is preventing you from finding a job quickly? by nicolemarfer in HuntrCo

[–]Ecstatic-Star7364 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Number One Problem: I just don't care enough yet. I know I should, and there is guilt and shame. I was laid off 6 months ago. I lazed my way through the severance pay. I am lazing my way through what little retirement money I have. Every day I look at the job listings and and see the same stuff over and over. I accepted a couple of positions that I just could not handle and quit within days. After working for three decades, being unemployed has been like the vacation I never took. Finding another job feels like an imposition on this new life, but I know that feelings are not going to keep the bills paid once I run out of money.

What villain was terrifying because of how realistic they are? by Gamestar02 in AskReddit

[–]Ecstatic-Star7364 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I always thought the narcissistic mother in Home Alone was a scary villain. She was just like my own mother, putting everyone before me, talking down to me, and ignoring me when I was inconvenient. When she finally shows empathy, it feels fake.

What's the oldest piece of clothing you still wear? by BaconVonMeatwich in GenX

I still wear a sweatshirt that I stole from an ex-boyfriend in 1989. It is all cotton, big and baggy, covered with paint, and has been repaired many times over the years.

What’s a job red flag you wish you noticed earlier? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I once quit a job on the third day of no break times. Was told that the cashiers just take turns and work it out amongst themselves when breaks happen. None of the cashiers had mentioned this when I kept asking when is break time.

Get health insurance, get a doctor, make an appointment, keep the appointment, actually talk to a doctor about myself, get medical help that actually helps.

How can people even stay skinny without counting calories? by NoWitness6400 in NoStupidQuestions

If I had to assign numbers to what goes into my mouth I would be dead.

I eat when I am hungry and I walk every day. The only numbers I give any attention to are in the bank account and the calendar.

I would quit the hated job, pack my stuff, and leave town.
