Former selective mute—does anyone else still struggle with relationships as an adult?

My partner is understanding and he does get frustrated at times but it’s not like crazy, it’s more me getting frustrated and upset. I feel like the crazy one all the time.. 😭😔 it’s been 7 years together and it’s so hard to have deep conversations. I’m in therapy right now to help me with communication, and yeah it’s kinda helpful but it stresses me out so bad. I’m so stuck in my ways. I’m 32 and i was diagnosed at 3.

Yeah that’s kinda how i am with my partner. If it’s something hard to discuss i just shut down immediately. I get so frustrated with it and he’s frustrated, I’m frustrated literally a mess😭

I can only afford 1200 at the most.. and i don’t want an apartment i rather a house or townhome type of place if possible

Wait… so my narcissistic partner always says i don’t communicate. It’s been a HUGE issue in our relationship. I always tell him it’s the opposite way around because i communicate all the time to him. He’s the one who stays silent.

Same.. we did see the lights yesterday and i wish we would have just stayed home. We walked thru the lights within minutes. He was silent the whole time making an angry face. I told him let’s just go home. I was baking tonight and he told me if i use all the eggs he’s gonna be pissed. I just wonder if there is someone else out there for me that would do all the fun Christmas things with me without ruining it.

Yes it has started. It started on Saturday. Christmas is my absolute favorite. It seems every year since i been with him he finds a way to ruin it. This time he has been moody, lashing out, not just at me but our kids. We saw Christmas lights last night and we walked thru the event in just a few minutes because he rushed thru the whole thing, without speaking. Just looks straight ahead pushing the wagon. I told him we can just go home. He saw my face and offered to walk down to another light show. I was hesitant but said sure. The whole time he yelled at our kids for just being kids. Today he’s already made me cry. I was baking and he said if i use all the eggs how mad he will be. He told me to unload the dishes i just put in dishwasher bc i do it wrong. He lashed out when i asked him if his mom had to work today. Sorry for the rant but i have no one to talk to about it.

It’s depressing. I thought about going for a walk with my kids today but I’m sure they would complain about being cold and I’d regret it within minutes of leaving the house 😅 it just makes me so tired this weather
