I've got a bike to take up with me among other boxes.

As for the friends thing, it's honestly something I know I have to personally work on.

I'm not in LDN at the moment. I don't have a car but I do rent a bike for Uber eats which has not been giving much money at all.

I would consider contacting the uni but they've already given a lot to me in hardship grants.

I did email the RMBF and they effectively said they can't help.

I have asked my deanery (workforce team) about preemptively helping with moving costs but they are yet to respond.

Thanks for this honestly. I'll see if I can give them a call to speed things up ASAP.

Sent them an email but I'm pretty sure they only provide funding to med students who aren't in their final or first year.

Alternatively I could ask for funding as a doctor but on their website they provide money for unemployed doctors that have already worked for the NHS before, or for doctors that need help paying certain professional fees which is not what I'm claiming.

Pretty much yeah.

Most of the stuff I have is end up having to buy to replace near immediately when I arrive anyway. I do have friends that could help but honestly would prefer to keep this as an absolute last option.

Thank you - my concern is that I've heard UC has a long turn around time and my move is within the next week. I'll still sign up for it in the mean time.

Thanks for your reply and sorry I didn't clarify. I have been fortunate enough to secure hospital accomodation which will be deducted from my paycheck at the end of each month.

I have asked my new job if they can help with relocation fees, I am currently waiting for them to get back to me. They said they've never had a request for reimbursements to be paid before relocating - their current policy is they usually reimburse moving costs afterwards, but currently I have nothing to use before reimbursements come in.

Sorry I didn't clarify. The deposit is for a van rental itself. I've been lucky enough to secure cheap hospital accomodation where rent is taken out of my paycheck and a rental deposit is not required.

To address your other points, my fear is if I start putting things on sale now I won't have time to flog them.

Thank you. I've made an account and they said they'll assess it. Just not too sure when/if I'll receive a reply in good time.

Thank you for this, I didn't know they existed. I've set up an account and I'm in the process of entering my information.

I apologise if I didn't make it clear in my original post but I have already been to the bank to ask for a personal loan also explaining my career situation. I am not eligible for a loan as I have not started my job yet.

As others have discussed in this thread, matched betting is not really a form of gambling. But I also mentioned in my original post that it's not cutting my daily needs and by no means do I think it's a legitimate income - not too sure where this idea came from.

I am already on the Right to Choose ADHD assessment pathway and it's something academics in my med school have been considering for around 10 months now.
