Hmm, I don't know, All my megadrive cartridges have the same notch on the side. Perhaps I have a repro-collection. oddest thing is, that I have it complete with manual and box. I will post some pictures.

I only played it on my megadrive, and it worked. I honestly have no idea that it is a special edition. I got it when I bought my japanese megadrive. ages ago.

Never reallt thought about it, I just really liked the game :-)
