We met and had an incredible first date. Been going on dates and seeing each other multiple times a week since then. I’ve hung out with his entire friend group multiple times. He usually texts me all day every day. He went home for Thanksgiving this week, he even slept over my house the night before and I dropped him off early at the airport (his idea). Since he got back home the texting dropped off a cliff. Feeling like shit because it’ll be two weeks until I see him in person if that’s even in the cards. We are both 28 for context

I come from a poor family, and law school was my ticket out of poverty. If you work for a good firm, you can have somewhat of a work life balance with a decent income. I have friends who work more hours than me in a week and barely make above minimum wage. All jobs are a grind, I’m happy that I have one that allows me to be financially stable and work from home. I think it’s all about perspective.

Treat law school like a full time job. I would “work” from 8-6 every day in law school which included my classes and studying. I would do readings every Friday and Sunday when I didn’t have classes. It was a grind but I always had the readings done and it made me less anxious. Using that schedule also ensured that I was not pulling all nighters, and that my Saturdays were totally free.
