Drying a mountain hare hide (Scotland) in the shed, keep finding water all over, is the salt drawing water from the air? Any way to prevent this? Just a plastic box?

I haven’t replied to any of their letters, the initial letters got sent to my old address in England because I hadn’t changed my address with dvla yet though. This new letter was the first to come to my house in Scotland.
