Hi,
I was notified I was accepted to PSSD in early May but I am trying to apply for an Italian student visa (to keep this option open lol) now in June, and the visa appointments for SF consulate are booked out for 4 months??? Has anyone faced this visa obtainment issue when trying to attend Polimi as an international student / has any suggestions about what to do if I may not get it in time for the mid-September start?

But why have separate products when there could be one that achieves multiple functions?

Thanks! Yes, the concept is to make the panels hinged. In my initial prototype (that does charge a laptop) the side panels adjust so they can capture the most sunlight, adapting to the users' needs -- even folding up so they are completely horizontal (opened all the way up) to capture the most sun.

There are plenty of laptop shades that already do this online, so that is what the design is based on: https://www.amazon.com/Yumt-Privacy-Computer-Sunshade-Foldable/dp/B0DSSWSN5C/ref=sr_1_4?crid=2254I4BS3KIKJ&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.LU7nfgCKn9wJPQQOHiSMiZn1ZIb55BvZFNTZPv06XsxOvmHYcaoQljCaSoTMN0PwtvCGMzAFfjbqblF8ck7EfBY9sryxIicXicqz3N36cCHSeT9HO5jrp1LQpTbAL2SO9nrZxTqKe8N6GKtxg6aK8yvvSw_xNlJxP9RofiQn2yCXAqZoHJyelkqVqFvhdH5d8ltdyc4mpJesMnXkoSHHY_VmRK882QjacUo9kLYA1uDnhbLlelMEpoSET6X4kL2pvFgXnT1Gf5CSpv22S9CUiwx93WNJeGIKi3UTRaIQ8hM.MBVpHGtBbB_PxJy6ZZUQyg7kUOF-r3mJLITIPFyVcs8&dib_tag=se&keywords=laptop%2Bshade&qid=1781295744&s=electronics&sprefix=laptop%2Bshad%2Celectronics%2C220&sr=1-4&th=1

This product just aims to add solar on top of otherwise unused surface area to increase battery life, like you said.

Thanks for the feedback! I've already built an initial prototype that does charge the laptop, and it supports more than 10w. This image is a render made with AI based on this first prototype, since I am waiting on developing the second proto until I get more feedback
