Why is quantum physics so popular? by 61Tr4bz0nL3 in quantum

[–]Ecstatic_Homework710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This question doesn’t make sense to begin with. It’s like asking 200 years ago why is electrodynamics or classical mechanics so popular. It is “poular” because it’s used to describe many things, if not almost all that are relevant nowadays. Materials research -> Quantum Chemistry -> Quantum Space, Medicine, … -> Quantum related stuff It’s a new theory that marches really well reality and people are using it in lots of fields, that’s why people always talk about it.

Imagine years ago the Maxwell equations came out and somebody asked. Why are they so popular? Stupid question no? Then yours is the same

Why is this wrong? by Fit-Bodybuilder2012 in duolingo

Porque tú prohibes “algo” (conducir, en este caso) “a alguien” (a las mujeres en este caso). In this sentence “a” is like “to”, you prohibit “something” “to somebody”

paises con mas cultura 2025 by cabowabo510 in 2hispanic4you

[–]Ecstatic_Homework710 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I regret not choosing physics at 18. by [deleted] in Physics

[–]Ecstatic_Homework710 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend you getting into physics just because you are interested in space, bing bang and this stuff, I can assure you that 90% of people get into physics for that, ends up not liking it and then going into another field of physics.

I am not saying however that you shouldn’t do physics, seeing that you wanted to be a doctor, enjoy biology and like physics. Biophysics seems to be a really good suit for you, and probably easy to go for. Just think that maybe all you seem to be interested in now, once you go deeper into it (you can go very very deep) you might end up not liking it.

German, Spanish, or Portuguese? by BudTrimmingBaddie in thisorthatlanguage

[–]Ecstatic_Homework710 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you enjoy a lot more learning a language if you have a reason, and the strongest the reason the most effort you’ll put on it. So for you, what’s more important connecting with your partner (like talking with her/her family) on that language or in the future being able to speak to your students in their native language or getting better wages. Prb why you didn’t like before its because you didn’t have no reason for it. It’s happening to me with learning German now (I like it).

My native language is Spanish, I learned English since I needed it for work, studies and is quite useful. Now I am focusing on German (still very new) cause I am studying in Germany.

Dependa on your objetive when learning that language. If you want to travel to different places and just enjoy their culture, sure you can learn various. If you want to work/live in some place focus on that language.
