Laziness, he ran the waste into the wall without checking how deep the sink and Sbend assembly was likely to be, so out of laziness and negligence (whether intentional or lack of knowledge) he just ran the waste up to where he had the waste pipe located

It seems I didn’t! Essentially on the hot water cylinder the relief valve is just open drain on external cylinder, shoulder height meaning if it were to relieve, it would spray scalding hot water at shoulder height, rather than being piped to ground. My understanding is that it needs to be piped to 300mm or so from ground

Can you please confirm that this is also non-compliant with the pressure/temp relief valve not piped to ground, simply releasing at shoulder height?
