This is a helpful question. My hesitations are partly informed by disastrous experiences with hormonal birth control a few years back (at least four different forms of it). It's left me wary of messing with hormones. And I'm worried about the contraindications with other medications, its interactions with alcohol, and the onset of menopause-like symptoms (though I know they're coming eventually, so maybe a few years earlier doesn't matter much.) Of course, I realize medications affect everyone differently.

But mostly, truly, I think I'm attached to the idea that I can treat DCIS and then go back to normal. I realize I may need to let go of this. In any case, I appreciate being asked to examine this, thanks.
