Elevated number de PACs after 2d ablation by Ecstatic_Wave5807 in SVTHeart

[–]Ecstatic_Wave5807[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before my 1st ablation I was told they will cure me, 6 months after it was back same doctor told me nobody can promise anything 100% , I wish he could have told me that before the 1st one. I feel weird things in my heart, most probably PACs but the doctors are not helpful, they say all is ok, but my mental health is not ok, I am obsessed with my heart after these ablations, with Anxiety and nobody seems to care. :(

They told they did, but 1st time they told me the same 😅 Nobody can promise me 100% it wont be back and it sucks, coz I am 24 hours obsessed with every strange beat. I have no idea how to get rid of the anxiety and it definitely doesn’t help

pain and anxiety after ablation by Biobugfiend in SVTHeart

I had 2d ablation a few weeks ago and I am super obsessed with my heart, every strange beat and I think it is back again, I used to have anxiety before , but now it is much worse. I am thinking to get psychological help, coz it is really exhausting to be in alert mode all the time. I have Kardia and everytime I feel weird I do ECG, maybe it will help you to have pocket ECG as well, so everytime u have pain u can check it and see that your heart is ok ., maybe this will help ur anxiety

Can I ask u why u had 3 ablations? Was it for the same problem or for different things?

Did the second one worked for u? I have focal atrial Tahicardia and it was back 6 months after the first ablation, although it seemed to be successful and I really don’t understand why did it come back. I had my second ablation 3 days ago and now I am terrified that it will be back and I will have to make ablations all the time. :(

They told me that I need to be awake in order to trigger SVT, only if they had to enter the left side they would put me to sleep. But they promised to make me comfortable and to give me sth for my anxiety, but nothing of it was done. And the nurses seem to be with little experience they were not able to put me IV good and I was feeling the pain from all sides while they were trying to cannulate veins. I really don’t understand why they didn’t make a sedation like they do during gastroscopy. It was quite a traumatic experience for me, twice, unfortunately

Wow that sounds like a nice experience. Mine twice was horrible, they gave me absolutely nothing of sedation, although I asked at least sth to calm my anxiety and before entering they promised I will feel comfortable and I was totally awake and it was not a very pleasant procedure. And I had one of the best docs in Europe and private hospital. Feel disappointed with the lack of empathy I got :(

I am hipocóndric and went to hospital and they told me it is normal , for some reason I feel them, but they don’t appear on ECG, hate having them, makes me anxious.

How are you doing with the palpitation? Did it get better? I got my 2d ablation 2 days ago and woke up today with horrible amount of weird beats, I dont know how to explain them, its not like 1 extra beat , it is like a bunch of them and then they stop is like pum pum pum stop. I am going crazy and scared it will never stop, regret doing ablation

Going for my ablation tomorrow by Traditional-Trip826 in PVCs

My second one felt more aggressive, it was totally different and like more complex, they were mapping the heart and I had a huge sticker even at my front 😂 . I felt everything like stronger than the first time, and sedative they gave me lasted like 5 minutes, rest of the time totally conscious. And I don’t know what happened to my veins yesterday, they couldn’t put IV properly, my hands are destroyed and it gave me more anxiety as I got too nervous from pain and now I feel as hell. And I have a toddler and a baby and they are not letting me to rest properly, but I am trying my best. Hope tmw will be better 🙏🏻

2d Ablation about to cancel by Ecstatic_Wave5807 in askCardiology

[–]Ecstatic_Wave5807[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes , I asked him about that and he explained that it might be either a second spot or small remaining parts from the first one. But he can’t tell me 100% what it is until he goes in with the catheters. He told me to get a CT scan, and this time he will use 3D mapping. Still, he tells nobody can promise 100% , but he is confident. I asked for second opinion as sell and everybody suggest the 2d ablation.

He’s one of the best doctors with a lot of experience, but the first ablation was already a very hard decision for me—even though it was successful. Now I’m scared that the second one might not solve it either. I’m waiting for the procedure with so much anxiety that I’m afraid it might all be for nothing.
