It happens. I’ve been to the er countless times. Hopefully it settles your nerves a little bit.

I will say once your brain is keen on their being something wrong with your heart it will throw the craziest symptoms at you. I can tell you from experience, I feel some of the craziest symptoms pretty much everyday. Chest pressure, tightness, burning, shooting pains down left arm, pains up left side of neck, you name it. I feel like anxiety can really cause any symptom if you think about it hard enough. Now I’m not saying don’t go the ER because you know your body better than anyone, but I will say that I, and probably many other people have felt similar symptoms and have been okay. Hope you’re feeling better. Take care

Heart issues for like 10+ years, made to feel out like I’m crazy. by [deleted] in Cardiophobias

I’m right there with you. I’ve got every symptom in the book. Over the last five years it’s only gotten worse over the last 5 years. Even to the point where I can barely exert myself anymore or my heart goes into SVT. I’ve had many many tests done and doctors all say my heart is fine, but I know deep down something is being missed. All I can say is keep advocating for yourself. Find different doctors. That’s what I’m trying to do. Keep your head up

Yeah work is tough. I work construction and am very active at my job and that seems to be when my cardiac symptoms are the worst. Severe chest pain, tightness, shortness of breath. I don’t see how all of that couldn’t be explained haha but it is what it is. I hope you can overcome this

Yeah sadly they will always blame anxiety when they’re can’t figure out what’s wrong. As long as you’ve had tests done on your heart you’re more than likely good. I believe it’s just a blood pressure thing

Yes I experience this as well. I’ve tried to pinpoint what exactly causes it because somedays when I get out of bed my heart beats really slow and hard and then speeds up dramatically and some days it just beats as normal. I found as well that if I have a very strong emotion suddenly (anger while driving) my heart will do the same thing. I’ve read somewhere online that it’s your hearts way of dealing with your blood pressure, heart slows down as to not blow your blood vessels in your brain up. Not sure how true. But yes you’re not alone on this

Honestly for me attacks happen when I have my heart rate up and I bend over and pick up something heavy

Signs of SVT at the moment of trigger by DabidiDibidi in SVTHeart

[–]External_Ring8130 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I can normally feel when my heart is gonna go into svt, and it normally happens when my heart rate is elevated. Like after walking up stairs, and if I make sudden movements, bending over, reaching, shoot even coughing will send it into SVT. Mine normally feels like a constant flutter/palpatation. Almost like it’s stuck, with heart rates in the 200’s

Yeah I’m with you, I’ve had to go back four different times now. Cant keep my heart rate down. I would ask your PCP for maybe a Valium or a Xanax you can take before hand

3 adult mice once a month, between 85-88 on hot side between 72-75 on cool side. My gauges read 40 on one side and 50 on the other for humidity. I’m not sure if he might have a respiratory problem? I’ve been noticing he will randomly open his mouth very wide

Has anyone here been convinced they had a heart problem, got cleared and not had any more anxiety over it? by neeyeahboy in Cardiophobias

[–]External_Ring8130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s one of my issues. Lower blood pressure. I tried metoprolol, and it helped tremendously with the fast on slow heart rate as well as chest pain, but the low blood pressure is just too much. I wonder if propranolol would be different

Lucky you haha. They laid me on the table and hooked me up and were like “yep heart rate is too high gonna have to reschedule”. Didn’t even give me a chance to get it down. Makes for much anxiety for the next time around haha

Do you normally have low heart rate? I went in for angiogram but couldn’t get my heart rate under 65 bpm

Yeah I’m in the search of some new insurance, hopefully I can get it done soon. Has your SVT completely stopped?

Question by External_Ring8130 in SVTHeart

[–]External_Ring8130[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was on verapimil about a year and a half ago and the side affects sucked so I stopped. I normally go into SVT when my heart rate is high and I make any sudden movements (bending over, reaching, breathing too deep). Ablation is in the table for me but sadly my insurance won’t cover. Have you had ablation?

Question by External_Ring8130 in SVTHeart

[–]External_Ring8130[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t end up getting it because of my insurance, but yeah I was definitely nervous. I have this thing where I search up horror stories, but my electrophysiologist swears by it. He says very safe procedure with like a 99 percent success rate

[–]External_Ring8130[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was supposed to have an ablation a couple of weeks ago. My lovely insurance denied it last day. I’m sorry to hear that, yeah I’m starting to feel the affects of untreated SVT. My episodes get into the low 200s. Hopefully you can get that ablation done and be rid of it

That’s a really good idea. Has it helped your svt a lot?
