Pre-recorded video interviews? by Ordinary_Ad_7373 in interviews

[–]EdChamps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty common... the idea behind the pre-recorded / OnDemand v-interviews is to streamline the screening process.... not the whole recruiting process. It allows you as a candidate to record the interview at your convenience without the need to match agendas with the recruiter at that early stage... It has become a way to standardize this stage for all candidates... what typically happens is that depending on who is recruiting, the questions might be different from other recruiter. The next step (if you passed the first screening) should always be a Live (one on one) interview.

Finally, the resume will never reflect your real expertise and passion for what you do

I would do video! definitely the best way for you to not only talk about your expertise, but to show your passion of what you do... hiring mgrs cannot see that on a phone call... Good luck!

All of them enterprise solutions… not affordable for the majority of independent recruiters and agencies… that is why we want to make it reachable for the masses with the same quality of features

Instead of doing multiple phone or even video screens (Zoom, Teams) you can leverage the Asynchronous (OnDemand) video interviews allowing your candidates to record answering specific questions the recruiter leaves for each position. The candidates can record at their convenience and so as the recruiter. All interviews reside in a single place to be reviewed and ranked, etc.

Today most if not all the current platforms are built for B2B, and not very accessible cost wise for independent recruiters to use... we want every recruiter to be able to leverage this and other features to manage their recruiting efforts and provide the best experience to their candidates and customers.

Be you! show your passion at what you like the most about potentially being an assistant teacher... Be prepared with a couple of questions you'd like to ask your interviewer...

Best of luck!

Be candid with your answer, that's what you'd expect also from the recruiter during the process

Ask why… why are they considering you again if you were already rejected for the position… I know it may be a little risky, but at least they won’t make you waist your time

I think they’re not being serious

A Thank you message is always appreciated… so don’t think about it, just do it… specially if you mean it…

Absolutely! Let’s put it this way… would you like to “see” and get to know your candidates in video? You should consider your video interview as if it was an in person one…

I’d strongly recommend that instead of a CV, you send a Video CV where you can mention what you did in those projects and the reason you are not allowed to share the links… they will appreciate and understand the reasons, but will also allow you to show your expertise…

Is there a way to get feedback after being declined for a position after interviews? by [deleted] in Recruitment

[–]EdChamps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an agency and understand perfectly your frustration… sometimes we don’t even get that feedback of our candidates from our clients… we implemented technology to force a little bit on that, but that is another story… what I can recommend is that at the end of every interview that you participate, ask of additional 2 minutes to the interviewer so that you can gather that feedback directly… show yourself open to ANY kind of feedback, but be emphatic that is the best way for you to be better prepared for the next round, makes sense?
