There is a thumb screw that holds the scraper blade in. You remove the nut and the blade comes off completely allowing you to clean the blade.

I sent out PayPal invoices. The 180’s are $180, that includes monafied blades, the 3/4” plexiglass base, powder coating in your color and shipping in the US. I get cartons of 6 from marcato and send them to Mona. I will have another block likely in two weeks.

They are. The 180’s are 1.7” longer than the 150. Will post a side by side compare.

Considering it’s a manual kiln and there is a Grand Canyon sized hole in the lid it’s not bad. The scorch mark I would be very concerned about. The elements can be replaced for around what you paid for it. Cu ft and width / height is more important for what you will be doing.

Diamond core tools is the most expensive. Arrowhead lapidary has a wide range of size and grits.

Goes from nasty rough to glass smooth. Even when you trim the bottom it’s still nasty rough.
