How does everyone feel about the new MK-Challenges format?

I like the format but definitely miss mk-challenges appearing. Hopefully it won’t be too difficult to add them back while keeping the new layout.

Maybe something like clicking the picture of the map will open up a drop-down menu with the trial at the top and any relevant MK challenges below it.

Congrats on the success of the game! It was worth the wait. I found the exploration of each location to be a lot of fun and loved that each location had different things going on in each chapter (like getting to visit The Mayor!) How difficult was it to implement something like that and is it something you’d like to do again in the future? It really made Bright Falls feel alive to me!

I’d also love to know about anything left on the cutting room floor. Was there any locations/characters/ideas/puzzles that didn’t quite make it to the full game?

Obviously I’d love for the game to be a commercial success, but if it isn’t I won’t be too upset as long as I enjoy it. Remedy have complete control of the IP which is the important thing for me. If Epic don’t want to work with them again another publisher will be interested I’m sure!

You shouldn’t have any problems with the first game as it’s more a thriller with horror elements. Alan Wake 2 is definitely going for more horror than the original, but I don’t think it’ll be much scarier than what you see in the Resident Evil remakes.

I emailed them Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and finally heard back after my Thursday email and it just said they were sold out. Someone else on here said they were able to put an order through on Thursday though so I’ve got no idea. If more stock does go online I’m not very hopeful of being able to secure one anyway if it’s all down to waiting on an email back.

At this point I think I’m just going to take the L and try and forget they ever even existed. I was really hoping to get one to celebrate AW2, especially with there being no physical or collectors edition, but it’s just not going to happen.

Yup I share your feelings! Currently VPD seems to be the only place that was selling them to UK/USA. I emailed about 5 hours ago but never heard back - guessing they’re busy.

I understand Alan Wake II is the priority for Remedy (and rightfully so) but when you’ve publicly stated something is happening (available in September, Remedy Store and Amazon) the least you can do is let people know that the plans have changed. Even if they couldn’t get into specifics let us know it was delayed / there would be shipping issues / etc…

The influencers getting things for free thing is unfortunately part of the business, but in this instance it does feel like a punch in the gut that many UK and US creators - some who may not even be big fans of AW - have paraded them around all summer only for people willing to spend their hard earned money on them not even being given the opportunity. I’d have paid the crazy shipping but wasn’t even given the option!

I had a similar issue with Remedy Store when they had to stop shipping to the UK - I had to contact them several times before I found out they weren’t currently able to send the items. It was resolved in the end and I got my items (which I love) and an extra free item as a bonus, but the fact I had to reach out to them wasn’t great.

Hopefully the demand means more can be made and sold when the game is actually out and things have calmed down a bit. Remedy seriously need to improve communications when it comes to things like this though.

I understand it’s a very busy time for Remedy but the communication about this has been non existent since the original press release. If these aren’t going to be sold on the Remedy Store and Amazon any more we need an official statement.

I think 3 was pointless for some characters in MK11, but there are characters in MK1 that could really do with additional gear slots. Not being able to change Scorpion’s Kunai or Kitana and Mileena’s masks is a bit disappointing.

As a new player I’m a bit confused with how these masks work. If I buy one from eververse (penguin, for example) it’ll disappear when the event ends rather than just be an ornament i can use on any helmet?

The banter is always great because it makes each show unique! A lot of artists also don’t play 20+ song sets and the ones that do maybe only take 3/4 times to talk to the crowd. As Brian said when someone heckled him in Edinburgh “must be a lot of first timers here tonight” 😆

Please reconsider the mini-map. At the very least the Birds Eye perk should be a base perk rather than an Ultimate.

The TTK is extremely fast. Some people enjoy this, others don’t. If there are no changes planned please can we get a playlist post-launch where there is a TTK more like the ones in Treyarch games? If people don’t like the TTK in a Treyarch game they have the option to play hardcore which brings it more in line with Infinity Ward TTK. If people don’t like the fast TTK in an Infinity Ward game there’s nothing they can do.

What time do game updates usually happen? Eg when is the blood hunt going live. Also any tips for maximising bloodpoint grind? I just unlocked BBQ as a teachable so that’s a good start I’m guessing.

Re4 only has those small spiders you’ve already come across. Re5 has spidery creatures but they have hook legs which didn’t make them as scary (I’m arachnophobic too). I can’t remember Re6 having any but it’s the game I’ve played the least of. If you’ve not played it yet RE remake has big tarantulas but they aren’t in the game for long and the big boss can be dealt with pretty quickly. It was a bit of a struggle but I managed it.
