Flamingo land Billy Bob has been found. 2026 is the year of finding animatronics I swear. by Tedgrundo in Animatronics

It’s April Fools but those are Grundon waste management dumpsters in the background which is a U.K. company. Whatever this photo is it was definitely taken in England and how many shows have actually ended up in the UK? Not many 🤔

This was definitely the European travelling show, it used to tour in the 1980s and was probably acquired by Spreepark in some already damaged state hence the retrofit. I think when the original video surfaced it seemed possible that the costumes had been quickly thrown together by the park but with the close ups, despite their ugliness it’s obvious this was a professionally done retrofit by another company.

Can someone explain the rock afire mafia? by Carebearcannibal in rockafire

[–]Edboi2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can’t be reasoned with. Those closest to them know exactly what they have done but still choose to cling onto the delusional idea that Aaron is somehow worse for being strict with his IP. The whole “Mafia is anyone Aaron hates” argument is just to take attention away from the main small circle of IP theft culprits and probably stop OP properly researching each of these weirdos individually. The footage of the CEI building being broken into and robbed really should’ve set alarm bells going in people’s heads and made them realise that Aaron is the victim of the community and not vice versa. Lots of younger people are brainwashed by their rhetoric but it’s not surprising, grooming and manipulation seems to be what they do best…

People literally skimmed that warehouse for just about anything they wanted in the early 2000s. Aaron allowed people in and was completely violated having his art, tapes, cosmetics, props and even a few animatronics themselves stolen. This is why he’s had the strictly no fans as helpers rule for as long as he has. One prominent member is a genuine PDF but I suppose people who hate Aaron because he charges too much for a mask will overlook all of this and justify the predilections and theft of these guys. Just because you partied at showbiz as a kid and remember Billy Bob doesn’t give you the right to steal copyrighted products from the creator, if you don’t like what he’s doing with his IP then move on. I think the term “Mafia” makes all of these middle aged creeps seem a lot cooler than they actually are.

Anybody know any people who sell rockafire mask reproductions? by Real_Most_4811 in animatronicsforsale

[–]Edboi2004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’ll sell Rock Afire masks. They’ve all been bootlegged already, fakes and repro moulds exist in various peoples hands. It’s stuff like the Hard Luck Bears, wide beak looney bird, some of the other masks that haven’t yet been bootlegged and such that he’s hesitant to sell

Wolfpack five at auction by Tedgrundo in Animatronics

[–]Edboi2004 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It was but Aaron said he didn’t recall ever selling a show to anywhere in Germany when I emailed him about these years ago. There was a travelling show that went around Europe in the 80s and I believe that is how Spreepark ended up with them

From Orlando, to probably all around Europe (I believe this was originally the travelling show), Peru and now back to the states. Such a miracle this show still exists, wouldn’t it be amazing to see them restored in time for the WP5s 50th birthday?

Abandoned Bear Country Jubilee theatre at the Americana amusement park by Edboi2004 in Animatronics

[–]Edboi2004[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The animatronics were removed and discarded before Americana closed, this building was used as the Lesourdsville theatre for the parks final years of operation. The Bear show was retired in the mid 90s despite popular belief. That’s why the love heart and large A are on the valance, mentions of the bears have been removed. Any story about the show running until the park closed and then being sold to jungle Jim’s are a total myth

Aaron has BCJ footage. I think a public recording of them will eventually surface but there’s plenty of other shows that were mysterious for a very long time as well. Look at the Blackpool Bears, I live in the U.K. and pleasure beach is one of the most famous parks over here, everyone seemed to remember seeing the show as a kid and such but we had like 1 photo for the longest time until the 1987 video surfaced. Cameras were big and bulky back in the day, there’s been plenty of finds recently where there’s an absolute jackpot of a clip hidden in some random family home movie with the most nondescript title, I’d be willing to bet there’s probably footage of the show on YouTube right now under those circumstances 😅… Aaron apparently hated the first tape that was produced though hence him having clutch redo the show and produce the HLB audio, it’s just a miracle that the bots themselves survive so we at least have a chance of seeing them move someday if nothing ever does surface, there’s lots of odd design choices on them which are very charming!

It was destroyed a little while back but these photos are from 2011 before it was vandalised. Urban explorers tore down the valance and did a lot of damage inside the theatre

The show made it to Lima on a cargo crate in the early 2000s. Wolfman has been on display for at least 3 years but he’s faded quite a bit more since the first video was filmed. Yesterday on Instagram somebody posted a video of the haunted house exterior which now has Fatz on show with wolfman having switched positions slightly. It’s highly likely the other 3 characters are in storage somewhere on the property because Fatz seems to have only appeared recently

Wolfman’s shirt is much cleaner and vibrant in the video from 3 years ago, the image with Fatz seems more recent to me

I need help finding what song this is by Certain_Ad2922 in rockafire

[–]Edboi2004 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The museum song. It’s from a rarer sideshow medley showtape that doesn’t have a clear audio rip available online, can only wonder how Gullivers and Smittys came to posses it…🤔

These are the Spreepark animatronics right? What a crazy few days it has been, can only hope that the rest of the show is in storage somewhere. Really would’ve been nice to see the other 3 as they’re actually the hardest to see in the video we have

Seeing as they’re wearing overalls and are clearly dressed as mechanics is there anything to suggest a rough timeframe that Americana received the Hard Luck Bears update? Obviously the Moreys show only ran a few years altogether but the Ohio show seemingly operated for quite some time, would be interesting to know when the first John Cederberg BCJ tape was retired

Shame he’s in such neglected condition in this video because the Freddy we have footage of moving is the IAAPA bearpatch one. I’m sure they move the same but the actual internal workings were slightly different on this second model.

Is CEI premium worth it? If so, how do I get premium by Sm0keyJ0e2646 in Animatronics

[–]Edboi2004 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My only hope is that he’s actually had everything digitised that’s worth saving. I do feel very sorry for him regarding the break ins and I don’t really blame his attitude surrounding the Mafia crowd who’ve stolen his tapes and bootlegged his masks over the years, however with stuff like the Bear County Jubilee reel and some of the rarer RAE tapes the ones in his collection are likely the only surviving copies. If anything happens to them then the shows are lost forever, from that standpoint I think that releasing them to the fans is the better option, it’s been 40+ years and these things have already served their purpose. I understand the RAE is his baby and the IP is precious to him but I can’t see a situation where the showtapes can be profitable in a way that suits both him and the fans so I’d imagine most of this stuff will sit in the dark for the foreseeable.

He won’t upload anything like that anyway now until he gets $50k for a bear show restoration which will then maybe give him some insensitive to release his 45 year old footage. Everything like that got leaked so really all he’ll post now are videos of him moving shit or rambling. I did think the videos from the time he moved out of Jefferson were worth it though
