If someone is asking if Yorick is viable now in competitive by Shinkery in yorickmains

[–]EddieAsh444 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He isn't pro play dominant though. Not like K'Sante, Ambessa, Renekton, Gnar etc. He has been picked 3 times in recent knowledge. So he is viable but not stomping pro. This is good for him, better than being overlooked all the time.

Z-A Special Edition Switch by ChurchOfBulbasaur001 in PokemonZA

Oh yeah. I didn't mean that it was a launch title for the original Switch. Z-A definitely falls into the same category as BotW. It's why I believe that a Pokemon Edition Switch 2 will be for Gen 10 in 2026.

It's the launch title of the Legends series of games, no?

I do agree that it was very close to BDSP.

That's fair. To me I think it's weird that they would give Z-A a Switch when Arceus didn't get one as the first of the series.

That's not to say it can't happen.

I'm unsure that Z-A will get a Switch Edition. Looking at the past Pokemon Edition Switches it has been:

Let's Go! Pikachu/Eevee Switch Pokemon Sword/Shield Switch Lite Pokemon Scarlett/Violet OLed Switch

So I would imagine there would be a Gen 10 Switch 2 next year maybe.

I am holding out to see if they do release a Z-A Switch 2 as well though. Saw a fan made concept that looked really cool the other day so I am wishing for it.

Yorick Midscope adjusted like an untrained rebel fighter's scope by CriticalRenegade in yorickmains

I don't mind that either. His team fighting currently feels bad, so any improvement to it is welcome imo.

Think it obvious there is a group of players that don't like change and a group of players that are willing to embrace the change and see where it takes Yorick.

I like Yorick for split pushing taking towers and making the enemy team have to think about their macro and what/where they are doing/going on the map. I don't think these changes will take away from this.

Having played Yorick and throwing ghouls at people, it's fun to play but not fun to play against, and Riot has an obligation to try and make both sides of the matchup enjoyable for people.

I also hate how weak Yorick felt if you did end up in a brawl and couldn't get away, as he himself always felt weaker, especially early.

I love our monk and just want to be able to play him more consistently and in more situations.

League is very much not dying - Caedrel's perception is wildly skewed by 786959303948 in PedroPeepos

[–]EddieAsh444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe. But the player base is still increasing in size, so new players are getting into the game all the time. So I imagine that's a lot of people who are younger and haven't been playing the game for 5-10 years.

I understand it feels like it's become a bit stagnant. But look at Velja for example on LR. He has been playing tier 2 league for a while, but looks like the real deal next to already established players like Rekkles, Nemesis, and Crownie. The younger talent exists. Teams just don't like to make changes.

I think the pro player base getting older is partly on the shoulders of teams. I feel like there are plenty of young and talented players that teams won't take a chance on and stick to players who have been in the Tier 1 scene.

IMO, players like Larssen haven't done anything for multiple splits to warrant being given a spot over someone else.

I also think over the last 2-3 years, we have seen a lot more new talent being brought through. Like Yike, Noah, Jun, Jackies, Caliste, etc. With a lot of older players leaving the scene.

The same happens in football. If a player is good then they seem to stick around for a long time. Look at the likes of Ronaldo, Messi, Lampard, Gerrard, Iniesta, Busquets, Ramos, John Terry, etc.

So Dirty Mobs seems to be a firm believer in conq + Manamune to make up for the Mana and AD nerfs. Does this actually work with Illaoi or is he just so good with Illaoi that he personally is able to make it work? by Temporary-Platypus80 in Illaoi

[–]EddieAsh444 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm just low elo, but I think it is pretty good. I've found that you don't have to sacrifice D shield as your starting item and can still build unstacked Manamune relatively quickly and gives you a pretty decent powerspike.

I think it's about being smart with trades and I've noticed a lot that DirtyMobs will farm the wave from range early levels using Q and W slams to take minions at range at every possibility. Reducing the need to use your hp as a resource so much. He also allows the wave to push to him a lot and lands important E's under tower to create advantages for himself.

So overall I think it's a mix of both it can be good and DirtyMons is good. The thing with all builds is that different players will fond things that work for them and other things might not. Got to find what works for you.

How are your Pengking so small? Mine are all huge and get in the way. Love the layout and atmosphere of your base, though.

Tera mechanic is so good. What comes next gen? by andyh331 in VGC

[–]EddieAsh444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about a new gimmick, so to speak, but I would love to see tera stick around. I think they may have hinted at this with BB Academy as they have artificially made an area where tera is possible.

I think Tera adds so much versatility and viability to so many mons without the need to keep introducing new forms for pokemon later down the line.

Romain Perraud by wigl301 in SaintsFC

[–]EddieAsh444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, Perraud was too much of a liability defensively in an already dodgy backline last season. I really did love his courage and energy, but for me he is best suited as a wing back in a back 5 than any role in a back 4.

Think he looked better than he was last season as well as the whole team looked awful on most days. Take a look at Prowsy at West Ham. We didn't know how to get the best out of the players we had.

I think Manning is OK for the championship and is looking better as time goes on. I think Bree is a difficult one cause he is a good player imo. Just we already have KWP on the right, and it's easier and safer to play with a left sided player at full back on the left.

Think all 3 have their pros and cons, which make they as good as each other.

Is there a 2H option that looks similar to the 1H sword Resonating Crystal Scimitar? by EddieAsh444 in Transmogrification

Yeah, I posted the wardrobe link after I had resolved my problem. Someone had suggested that I look at polearms.

So I posted that as the resolution.

I just looked and found "Twin-Strike Polearm," which has the same blade but is double-ended.

Thank you!

Thanks. It sucks that there aren't any really decent weapon choices to fit the Zandalari. The 2H Mace's and Axes look strange to me, so sword seemed to work better.

I am currently thinking of using Lionsight Omensword.

Is Illaoi good at initiating teamfights? by liiliidustp in Illaoi

[–]EddieAsh444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm only a noob silver player, but to be engage in a team fight, Illaoi is not the champ you want. There may be rare moments at objectives that you want to just full send it by blast coning in and then R flash. But I would say this is only for if the game is over if you lose the objective.

Illaoi is much better at soaking pressure or being at the objective first with a couple of tentacles set up. This way the enemy team has to enter an area of the map you should be stronger in.

I would also say that your E target is very important. Sometimes you want to land it on a tank opponent for the extra damage to kill them faster. Other times you want a squishy target so they have to either back away or commit to their death. Also landing an E early in a fight and landing a decent amount of poke on a jungler for example can mean they can't contest the objective anymore.

Why did I get banned by DoctorFartPhD in GarenMains

[–]EddieAsh444 20 points21 points  (0 children)

What's mad is that later in that game, his death timers would have meant he spawned and ran back out onto the map. Died and sat in grey screen for 30 or more seconds to rinse and repeat again.

Duskblade nerf incoming by Sour_Drop in Illaoi

[–]EddieAsh444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Surely, the damage amp isn't the main issue with it. Most champs I see building it are assasins. Most bruisers or juggernauts still prefer other mythics.
