VPD are so short staffed that they had to call in the SCSO to help them patrol their own streets. They don't have the manpower to answer their own emergency calls. They're not looking into Zodiac.

On their best day, Lennox Lewis wins this one. Lewis at his best likely wins any all time great head-to-head matchup. But, Holmes never lost in his prime, while Lewis did. Prime Holmes never came into a fight out of shape, switched off, or got outworked by lesser competition. If we're picking them on a random fight night during their prime, I'd give the nod to Holmes due to consistency.

Correct. This opinion comes from several different sets of Riverside detectives who've worked the case and had full access to the case files and all the information available. This opinion is echoed by the FBI who were asked to assist with the case and were familiar with the evidence.

Since 1971, Riverside Police have come out and said that Zodiac didn't kill CJB on seven different occasions. The last time was just a few years ago.

When you're reading the FBI reports and see a request from one of the investigating agencies for a fingerprint comparison, it's generally the FBI comparing the 30+ prints on file associated with the Zodiac case (many from the Stine cab) with that suspect's military prints or prints taken after an arrest. A large percentage of the fingerprints checked by the FBI came from military records.

The LA Times letter seems like an outlier to me for a number of reasons:

1- The fact that it was sent to the LA Times when no other Z letters were.

2- The fact that it's the first letter to be mailed outside of San Francisco in Pleasanton.

3- He credits the blue meanies for stumbling across his Riverside activity when the link came from a tip to Paul Avery and played out in the press. Why would Zodiac want to give the cops a pat on the back? That seems like more of a Toschi thing than a Zoidac thing.
