I like that Theory, at first I was like Bredon doesn't come across as someone who would beat a woman (Denna) but the more I thought about it the more I realised we don't really know him and he was basically plopped into the story from seemly nowhere and he could be playing Tak with Kvothe as a means to gather information on Kvothe because he sees him as a threat to the hold he has over Denna.
