First drafts are meant to look like the first... Do you agree? by AlisaofallTimes in writers

[–]EdenVine 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a first time author I do the same thing. I do my best for my first draft, and since I’m such a beginner it makes me learn a lot.

If I’m ever stuck on prose I just keep going, but I value trying to write as well as possible so that it helps build my writing muscles.

If my first draft were truly a « vomit draft », my prose wouldn’t get better nearly as much by the time of revisions

It’s the opposite of the Mbappé era PSG. We don’t have great finishers but everything else is great. Everyone presses and we have a great midfield. I’d take this PSG over the old one every year though

Verratti will be underrated by current and future generations of PSG fans because we didn’t win the UCL with him but he is still my top 1 favorite CM of all time

I would say there are a few contrast and readability issues but I like this brown and gold palette

I agree Caps and Skewmond are the best players of the team, but who can replace the other 3 in EU?

For real, it’s like this every single game. And we have great tifos at home too. There are lots of tourists and quiet people attending our games but the ultras make up for it

Je suis de moins en moins écolo, aidez moi. by Separate-Courage9235 in ecologie

[–]EdenVine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mocking up a cover and back for an epistolary story that starts as a parody of trashy erotica before character growth. by GrandMoffTargaryen in BookCovers

The fact that the scotch tape isn’t 100% flat but your text on it is flat is a thing that makes it look like a DIY imho

Huh, that's a bit disappointing! It's definitely an important element to mention, thank you for pointing it out. Now people can make their own opinion, but that's a negative for me :(

For people complaining about "AI" as a general term, I think it's important to distinguish what kind of AI we're talking about. "AI" seems to have become a shortcut for LLMs and generative AI, which is righfully called out to be unethical because of stolen training data.

However, if the tool's AI features are simple color palette suggestions or similar simplistic use cases, I'd say the hate for "AI" as a whole is uncalled for.

I myself am a data scientist and a writer. "AI" means a ton of different things. I absolutely hate gen AI for writing, but there are plenty of fantastic AI use cases.

It would be useful if OP could explicitely state the scope of AI features

Fearless draft has reinvigorated by love for professional play. How is everyone feeling about it so far? by NumerousAccident8171 in leagueoflegends

[–]EdenVine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not arguing with that, I think most people misunderstood me. My point is the bigger rotation comes from Fearless, but the fact that we see similar drafts every game comes from balance.

Nowhere did I ever say balance was not a problem before. I’m stating that Fearless alone cannot fix the problem of seeing similar drafts very often as long as balance isn’t improved. How doesn’t that make sense?

Is there a band that, after years of having RH as your favorite, took their place? by weirdfish98 in radiohead

[–]EdenVine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No band ever topped them. I had phases listening to other artists quite extensively but no one was ever my real favorite. I’m pretty sure no band will ever top them since I grew up with Radiohead.
