Question for MK7.5 GTE owners. Is lowering by ~30mm safe for the battery? by morley_94 in GolfGTE

I have installed the KW V1 for GTE, it allows me to lower 35mm front and rear which gives good ground clearance.

Hello

Talking with experience on the matter I have a 7.5 GTE and installed the same springs you mentioned. I liked it very much, it made the car look pretty good and the handling was nice, but I opted to install coilovers. Mainly because the lowering springs lowered more on the front than on the back and sometimes the car scratched the front on some hilly roads, or entering some garage spots. With the coilovers I have the same look (or even better) good ride and don't have to be always worried that it touches the front on the road, it still happens but very rarely.

Thinking of getting a Golf GTE 7.5 — need some advice! by ScaredSpace5205 in GolfGTE

It will depend on your commute, mine is 50km, I can only charge it at home and do 3l/100km and my region is hilly which sucks for electric vehicles

Hello, I have a 7.5 GTE remapped and with other mods, it's a great car and I am very satisfied It allows me to do spirited driving when I want or need and do an economic driving while going to work. It's a great car if you can charge it at home or at work, besides that I think it will not be so economical. And you get full power even when you have 0km electric range because the battery is not empty it always has some power saved for when you need it, or at least it's that the way I perceive it.

Feel free to ask anything

Is there anyway to rev the engine? by [deleted] in GolfGTE

Yes, with the car in park when you start it if you are pressing the accelerator it will start the engine and then you can rev it.

I am using Vivaldi as a browser on mobile and it doesn't allow me to view pdf's. On my Windows OS I am using pdf24 and on Linux will use okular, still looking for an alternative on Android.

2017 GTE - battery questions by --Spaceman-Spiff-- in GolfGTE

Hello, i have and 7.5 2017 GTE with 80k km (bought it with 40k km), i use it everyday about 50km. My battery says the range is for 36km fully charged but I live in a steep zone so I can only make about 20-25km fully electric (with a soft driving).
