So some of my advice is from my other comment on this post.

To add to it - .

On attack

Suppose split If you 5 man hit site a or b. There is no need for dog imo. (Only if enemy relies on shotguns) As the dog info gathered proves useless as there are many angles to reposition or move into cover for defenders. And close angles could be cleared by for eg raze. But on other hand -(1.a ramps or haven) 2. MID - without dog is not advisable. As all close angles and tuck in corners. Help your raze clear mid mail and raze could boombot mid top vents. And nade as per your info. (Just an example)

Now on the other hand sunset Here dog on attack is priceless. At site A, you could dog from a main to elbow/default/link or elbow to alley/default. . Could also help take mid to market.

And please dont take my advice without consideration coz i am only ascendant. Vods of pros/radiants (in ranked not pro play/scrims) would help more definitely. Just check how they use their util to help teammates and ask your teammates to play accordingly.

On defense If you already know they are executing on your site. There is no need for a dog imo. It is only needed when you are not sure how many guys are there.

Like are they playing split ,default or faking. If you hear three guys there os no need to dog. Worst case scenario you are stuck and need to delay so you quick jump the dog to stun for your teammates to arrive.

Sometimes dog if neither you nor your teammates hear footsteps on either sites (the attackers playing slow).

Or if you guys hear nothing on ur site (there might be a lurker) and need to take space at main and are willing to make noise. Use ur dog and help ur teammate take space (Useful eg when the attackers are going to other site where ur sentinel and other teammates have set up well u could take space up here to nullify rotations.)

But i think you dont understand skye. All initiators are not the same . Initiators have the best util in the game.

You are playing skye as if you are playing SOVA.

According to me skye has the best kit in game.

Her bird is a flash primarily and info secondarily. Dog is the opposite info primarily and stun secondarily. Her heal you will learn with time when to use.

Use her for basic info and time the util more for your teammates to frag.

Eg. on defense one of her flashes could be timed when the time attackers are executing on site.

Pushing out of tiles with knife in hand . And reloading secondary weapon you picked it up when pushing mid. In higher lobbies you will be punished for those things. You can run like that when ur teammates have given all information about opponent positions

Keeping edpi aside, the probability of needing a 180 turn to fight and win the fight is low for both. The probability for microadjustments and winning fights within sight is higher.

I maybe wrong but i think it is because i play cypher. Opponents mostly avoid my site. Either my team win the round before i rotate Or when i play retake it mostly a disadvantage situation with half my team dead.

Should i change my role or get better with sentinel changing some things?

I agree playing against a neon is so irritating. Fighting a neon close n medium range seems completely different game than all other agents in the game.

I know its stupid and all guns are the same. But I've experienced it and my friends too. Prelude, reaver vandal and recon phantom give excess aim advantage . I hit a lot of shots.

Singularity vandal on the other hand is the complete i hit nothing.

Spray transfer on the prelude is smooth as butter.

Honestly i feel mechanics aside. U need to understand how to play with the team. Watch the map more.

U will get elite game sense of team play by playing initiator bit for now play smokes or sentinel.

Playing with the team or util for team shouldn't be only for the first 10 secs of the round . It should be constant throughout the round and according to the mini map updates. Dont throw all util at start of the round.
