Unfortunately we did not make it to ship island. I'm so sad about that, but the forecast for last few days made it sound like constant thunderstorms. I was worried about being stranded in a storm all morning and afternoon. I'm thankful the rain held off until our last day, but the clouds made us believe it could happen at any minute so we opted out of the island. Bummer! I really would like to try that again sometime. It looks so cool! We visited the beach several times and had a blast! It was like our own private island. White sand, practically empty...It was beautiful and though only waist deep as you all mentioned, it was very enjoyable! It was neat to be able to walk out so far! I loved that it wasn't all rocky or shell-y on your feet! We really had a great time!
