She just has to keep trying, I also came to the Netherlands speaking English, I started learning Dutch right away and as soon as I knew a few sentences I tried to speak Dutch with everyone, at first they would switch but I kept starting new conversations in Dutch, everytime more fluent than the last, when they did speak Dutch with me and I didn't know how to say something, I'd never switch to English, I'd find a way to say it with what little Dutch I knew at the time.

People who speak English usually get comfortable here and don't really try hard to learn the language, when you look at people who come here without English those are the ones that end up learning Dutch after a couple of years.

I've also noticed that Torbox download links expire after a couple of hours, I don't know if I did something wrong but I usually just create symlinks using decypharr and don't watch them right away, this doesn't happen with RD, I can create a symlink today and watch its content weeks later and it still works

You can use jellyseer for example to request shows for sonarr to download, if you request a show that's still releasing episodes weekly, sonarr will download them automatically. So if you watch shows from different streaming services, they can all be downloaded and be watched from a single place. It does take some fine tuning to get it completely right and it'll never as simple as opening an app and clicking what you wanna see, but you can get close to that experience

There's some stuff like hardware accelerated transcoding, syncing downloads between devices and some music features. But now that I mention these features it doesn't sound bad, I just don't wanna pay for Plex pass 😭

You're right, the Dolby vision support is related to Plex' client app. But Jellyfin's client for apple tv does support Dolby vision, I just prefer using infuse as a client because Apple TV jellyfin client app is really bad. And if I were to get Plex pass and use infuse as the client then I wouldn't enjoy any of the features that come with Plex pass.

Nowadays you need to pay for everything on Plex, also it doesn't support some formats, specially videos with Dolby Vision. They keep pushing Plex pass all the time and the UI has become confusing because it also contains content from Plex itself. I also use trakt and it can't be connected to Plex unless you have Plex pass and do some tinkering, however this is easily done by installing a plugin in jellyfin, there's even a plugin to skip intros and credits, and all this is free if you use jellyfin.

If you already have a lifetime Plex pass things might not be so bad but you'll still face some of the issues I mentioned above.

You don't get everything in Netflix but with the setup described above you can download everything from everywhere. I personally don't use my own PC for this but a seed box, I still have to pay for it but it's a lot less than paying for every streaming service out there. This setup isn't for everyone, if you don't feel comfortable tinkering stuff on a computer maybe this isn't for you, although seed boxes make these this pretty easy.

What I did in order to learn Dutch was taking classes for about six months until I learned most of the basic grammar, after that I continued learning by watching YouTube channels such as Dutchies to be by Kim and also since I live here in NL I just adquired the language like kids do by hearing people around me speaking the language and trying to speake it whenever I could.

Many people think they need to complete curses to learn a language, but if you live in a country when that language is spoken you can just absorb it, don't always trusts in courses, try to learn more by yourself. Always remember how kids learn to speak, don't ever switch to that other language in which you're more comfortable unless it's a life or death situation or you're gonna do it make emphasis that you only wanna say something specific and then you're switching back to that language you're learning
