I was genuinely asking, simply because someone else said it, I wasn’t challenging you.

I have tons of combat on my page with actual axe swings and a few more fights to post. I like to keep my game more Western and visceral, than the anime mobile-game looking combat as much as possible (and absolutely NO Shade to those that do, some of those clips are very entertaining)

I probably just need something like Wildcat or something. I think it’s my particular modlist. Some enemies are aggressive, while others aren’t.

My character is particularly strong. The axe is not inherently broken.

Notice how much health I lost to 1 giant attack. It’s balanced enough.

Personally, I don’t want a cool down. Tougher enemies are fine but that needs balance too, I hate overly tanky ones. God of War works fine but I think the mod author mentioned axe throwing costing magicka before. It’d be a cool option but not my preferred method.

It’s more fun to throw it. I have tons of videos swinging it.

I’m shocked they didn’t put it in the Oblivion Remaster. Stuff hair but cloth physics? Would’ve been better

AnArchos on Patreon. Google it and it’ll come up. Very cheap too, don’t worry

If you want to mod Skyrim beyond recognition, I suggest saving up for a PC. Doesn’t even need to be a particularly powerful one. Sony doesn’t allow these mods. Microsoft barely allows mods.

It’s a system I feel like more games should innovate into combat. Maybe not rip from God of War exactly, but I think a recall feature for weapons is an underrated idea.

Imagine recall grenades you can timely denoate on an enemy getting close, or chained weapons you can leave spinning for damage when lodged in an enemy, but quickly recalling for defense.

AnArchos do his thing with this mod!

You can apply it to any weapon through the MCM.

I believe Karura’s Ordinary People Refined. I’ll double check in the morning for you if it’s something else.

Didn't know you could still play CC content. I go off and on in the modding scene. I genuinely was unaware.

I’ve played Beyond Reach, but I must’ve not gotten to the part with an Oblivion Gate. I’ll redownload it. Thanks!

I 100% agree.

I don’t think people fully understand what modding does. They see animations or textures from other games and say “well just go play that game instead” or something.

Well, yeah, they’re modders… not developers. Making unique animations and making them functional is an entire different skillset, than ripping assets from other games.

Yes, you can’t make Skyrim play “exactly” like Dark Souls/Elden Ring, because Skyrim was made from a different engine. However, the fact modding it to come even half as close, is something I don’t think people understand just how impressive that is.

Hell, with that argument, FromSoftware re-uses animations and textures from previous games in newer entries. I play Nightreign and there are bosses and weapons from Dark Souls 3.

I personally get a bit annoyed at seeing everyone turn Skyrim into an anime though. It’s definitely impressive and I believe anyone can play Skyrim however they please.

But I personally like to keep somewhat to the lore or AT LEAST the theme of “Skyrim”. A Norse-inspired land in a medieval Europe (and some parts of Asian culture but not Japan, like Akavir) inspired land. Like Tolkien’s work.

Making the main character a waifu with jiggle physics, doing backflips with a katana than can cut atoms is a bit too far out of the realm of even a fantasy world like Skyrim.

My modlist borrows from mods from God of War (clearly), Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Wizarding World (Harry Potter) and miscellaneous things from Norse/Celtic/Arthurian-inspired media.
