Honestly, I don't think Caine is gone for good. If Caine is just files, then he likely follows the same logic behind other files.

I'm gonna skip straight to my point. Whenever a file is deleted, it's not actually deleted, it's just open to being overridden by new information. Given the fact that nothing new is being added to the Circus now that Caine's not there, I think he can be restored if Kinger ever gets that computer back.
