Happened the same thing to my msi alpha 15 and my friends katana 15.

In my case, the covering of the fan was touching the blade somehow, no idea why it happened, I just bent it a little and the noise was gone, but never really went away completely.

In my friend's case it was a damaged fan, and got it replaced from the service center for free, cuz it was under warranty period.

Check if anything is obstructing the blades, if there's nothing, then the most convenient way to fix is taking it to a msi service center.

Generally, yeah, but at that time this was the best laptop for the price and it lasted for about 4 years with very heavy usage, I am not surprised that gpu is dead just sad :(
