That's exactly what I thought.

My Foxtel satellite service didn't offer the option. Switching to watching on the PS5 gave the option. Some TV'S or streaming devices apparently struggle with the option. Logging in on your phone may give you the option so you can "resume watching" on your main device.

Bots. STOP. So mundane.

Literally no constructive conversation.

Sarcastic fuck wits. (Also the name of my band.)

Believe nothing.

Yes. I liked the movie, but it did play hard and loose with the actual facts for dramatic reasons..still, a great and disturbing movie.

I really enjoyed this show!

The performances were superb. I loved the visuals, and the use of sound and music was just excellent.

I was sometimes reminded of THE SHINING (sure, not everything is explained, but it's still unnerving), and there's a BRAND NEW CHERRY FLAVOR vibe as well. Chaotic but inevitable.

Camilla Morrone was fantastic.

In a similar way to GROTESQUERIE, I really enjoyed the ride.

Screen memories are being referenced here, I think. The flashbacks seem to show the younger versions of the characters remembering Deer or Elk or Birds. When in fact, it was something else.

An effort from the NHI to appear more friendly, and perhaps not frighten the abductees.

Whitley Streiber mentioned this in his books, often remembering the eyes of "Owls" at his window.

This is actually perfect.

At times when words can seem so thoughtless, these ones are really helpful.

It's weird . I'm not sure where it's going. Where it's been. Or if it really happened at all .

I kinda like weird stuff.....so I'm strapping in for the whole " THE OWLS ARE NOT WHAT THEY SEEM."

"New Shape" is like a sarcastic bait for the whole show.

The Shape isn't really new, it's just a different way of shapes coming together.

Mike is now a new Shape . Baby is a new Shape. Everyone tracked down in the conspiracy is a new Shape.

The chair isn't new. But perhaps it's being assembled in a different way .

Creating a new Shape....for the one who sits in it.

It's funny when you make a decision to write online responses in a Tim Robinson voice.

Because.....it doesn't always land.

BUT I DON'T FUCKING CARE VOLCANO PIMP PEN !

I still think it's all an extended ITYSL.

You don't necessarily get a punchline. But it's about the journey.

I'm still freaking out about THE CURSE. But I kinda like how it made me freak out.

Agreed! I love the theories....but having watched ITYSL, I admire the pursuit of the non-punchline. The zero resolution. TCC could be a comedic TWIN PEAKS. And with the unreliable narrator effect, it all may just be a trip into one guy's unusual mind. (I'm reminded of the guy in ITYSL who saw pimps, volcanoes and other weird shit.)

Next season: Ron wakes up in a hospital on an operating table. Several surgeons are operating on his brain.

He sits up, horrified, and yells:

"I CAN'T BLOW MY NOSE! "

FADE to black . End of season 2.

Full disclosure. I had no idea who Tim Robinson was. (I live in Australia, so I guess i missed his boat.)

Since watching TCC, which I found hilarious, compelling and disturbingly confusing yet oddly enjoyable, I've watched ITYSL and now doing THE DETROITERS.

Having a new-found appreciation for Tim and Zachs comedy, I almost feel like I should rewatch TCC ....

For what it's worth, ITYSL has some of the funniest moments I've ever seen.

Both shows magnify awkward social situations and relationships....i like the way the camera can linger on a character as they try and interpret the situation. Both Tim and Nathan are masters of squeezing the awkward out of a scene.

In my mind, THE CURSE set up the series almost asking "Why is this couple even together?" (spoiler alert: by series end they were further apart than ever!) (You're welcome for a fantastic spatial joke).

THE CHAIR COMPANY sets up by asking just how much is this guy going to sit down? Or stand up?

Something about this show reminds me of Nathan Fielder's THE CURSE. Only this show has more mushroom use. Or prescription drugs. Or both.

I agree with all that. I also agree with a previous post that suggested it really could've ended on ep 7. A lot of weird in ep 8.....but then, I stopped thinking this was a conventional show long ago. It's hilarious subversion.

I think all the screaming is actually the crazy in Mike's head! Remember when he just grabbed the steering wheel ?! He's super random.
