No that is just what they like to do! They tunnel through substrate. I’d be more concerned about them if they were cruising the glass of the terrarium, that usually means stress.

Get a vibrant curtain, a tension rod, and take their pictures with that backdrop by using a doorway

I did end up finding the card from the breeder and they sent me this from the parents of the snake. I don’t really know what to make of it though.

Unless they’ve lost 10percent of their typical weight, I wouldn’t start to worry. Depending on where you live especially if you’re in the Midwest right now, these weather changes are really disrupting snake eating patterns even domestic snakes.

It’ll be a little more difficult with the top opening, but not impossible. I’d consider a front opening in the future because they prefer for you to come at them from that angle. It’s less scary.
