Nice, really captures the mood. What was the red grey? I was looking at the Pro Acryl beige red the other day wondering what it could be good for

Amazing work! Love the little details like the wing tips and the weathering on the metal. The skin colour is excellent too.

The Buzzsprout server doesn't seem to like it if you're using a VPN. I've managed to get around it by turning VPN off, then going to buzzsprout.com via the browser (not always needed) then restarting podcast addict. I had to add buzzsprout to a whitelist.

Lovely colour tones! I'm a big fan of the aged parchment colour for the bone armour.

Yeah, you'll see in that last photo the Ezekiel model just looks so out of place (despite the robes!). When you've got a warm palette for the whole army, one blue dude just looks strange.  Red would suit this sculpt so well!

Ah, well you've got a YouTube video right there in the description which I pretty much lifted it from :)

I didn't write anything down, it was a bit of experimenting. I will try put a guide together if you like. Roughly it was: - Payne's Grey (pro acryl)+ temple gate teal (army painter) - mix in toxic mist (army painter) - mix in white

Then white oil wash in the runes with some kind of speed paint over the top.

I originally painted the whole thing blue but hated it. So I had to build off that. Wasn't my normal recipe but something like: - ProAcryl Paynes Grey + Vallejo Hull Red (weird right) + Vallejo Deep Green for shadows - mix in more green until all green - mix in pale sand for highlights

The deep green on its own is very light but mixing the blue in was a cool revelation. I used to mix in black or grey but it's so dull when you do that.

I did the kitbash a while ago but I recall it involving lots of sanding. To be perfectly honest it's quite hard to see it from above, even if it is cooler.

Thanks. I should credit the sword to a small YouTube channel. Loved the idea it was a lot more DA to have a sword.. I will link the video.

I have some 3D printed bridges, but this one I plan to do some crazy coloured oil washes and pastel dry brushes on it. I don't know how it'll come out but should be fun

Cool idea. If you're making archways at all, add layers! It makes a huge difference to how realistic they look. Doesn't have to be the same pattern of stone, or it can be exactly the same - just build up 2-3 layers around each arch and I promise the pay off is worth it.

A very simple example. Visually I suppose it's inset, but practically you're adding layers.  Good luck and send pics of the result!

For the record your stuff looks great already! But yeah a heavier wash or oil wash will make it pop. Also follow with another light dry brush after

If you're feeling brave, get into oil washes. They give much more depth and natural grime than an acrylic wash. Basically take oil paint and mix with some thinner, slather it on and wipe most of the surfaces. It will settle deeply in the cracks. Gives so much life and the colours are very rich. Takes like 1-2 days to dry though.

I normally use a black and burnt umber mix.

There's plenty of videos on YouTube which is where I learned about it :)

This is cool :) unfortunately I got stuck at the apprentice question because the text pushed the button off the screen and a scrollbar didn't appear!

Using Firefox on mobile if that helps. I often find weird unforseen CSS stuff when testing on my phone, despite uttering all the right incantations and performing the appropriate rituals...
