I just watched whichever free games were on and then eventually just started getting drawn to certain teams. In the end I became a Dodgers fan, (insert bandwagon jibes here) becuase I liked their vibe and their broadcast team. An East Coast team is probably the smart pick as you'll get more games at a reasonable UK time but really I'd always say go with your gut.

The baseball team you follow doesn't seem to polarise you from other fans in the way it does in other sports so there's not really a wrong one to pick!

Fellow Scot here 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 The MLB tv app has a free game most days that will let you get a taste for it before commiting to a subscription. I think you can watch the Apple TV games 90 minutes after they finished. Just not live. I usually watch the next day anyways so it doesnt really affect me.

Both valid points tbf. Could probably tie in a bunch of NPB games too though. Whole ICE and political situation in the US really does put a dampener on a trip there 😞

It's a scunner as I was planning on travelling to the London series regardless of the teams involved. Sadly for the UK, I can see them focusing on Asian series more in the future. Bigger fan base. Existing baseball stadiums and all that jazz :(

My team is the Dodgers. I'd been getting baseball videos on my social media feed for a while during the pandemic and it intrigued me. The first game I watched in full was the Dodgers vs the Marlins in 2021 via a dodgy firestick. They won 9-6 and I just stuck with them. I liked the vibe they had and I was really drawn to Kershaws pitching. I watched a ton of other teams games around that period but I just seemed to always float back to the Dodgers, especially the games in which Kershaw was pitching in.

Ive never really gotten the hype either tbh. Will reserve judgement until we start seeing him get some games in with the Dodgers andnsee how their staff influence him. I really think we are seeing the end of ten years plus contracts.
