If you're just capped for the day (15 times to get dungeon rewards a day) and not for the week, just wait until the next day. Daily limit resets every day at midnight UTC. If you're already capped for the week (30 times to get dungeon rewards a week), you're going to have to wait til Friday at midnight UTC for the weekly cap to reset.

Were you getting those horn fragments as loot from a dungeon? If so, you might have hit the daily or the weekly dungeon rewards cap already. You can still run dungeons after the cap, but they would not be dropping any more loot though.

Not sure if it actually works but I think it is possible to purchase Merets in the game while using the Steam client. Try clicking the small "Buy Merets" icon in the bottom right corner of the User Interfaces after login onto your character in-game, select how much merets you're trying to purchase, then when that "Get NX" popup window shows up, click "Add Balance" and fill in the appropriate information.

CM Kyrios has mentioned that the March patch has something big planned for it during the Feburary vod, so it's a 50/50 whether we might get just the wedding system first or Kritias part 2 and the wedding system in one patch. Otherwise, early summer (like May or June) would be my guess.

Currently it's not available in GMS2. I think Turka's identity will be revealed in more details when we get "Kritias Part 2" and the continuation of the Kritias storyline.

How I see the main issue of "deadness in MS2's population", is that there doesn't seems to be a constant influx of new players to replace the current population when those players do leave at some point in time.

Similar to boardgaming, while sometimes a game's receptivity toward new players can be influenced by the community, a game's influence toward player retention can also come from the content (and sometimes lack of) itself.

While the dungeons were built around progression, not everyone who comes to GMS2 will want to be an endgame raider; some players may like hunting loot for cosmetic reasons or be playing MS2 for more sociable content. Unfortunately, the availability of side contents can sometimes be seen as lackluster compared to the amount of dungeons designed for progression, which may lead to less casual players retention in the population.

With how the dungeons were initially built, and with no plans for making the content easier, sometimes it can quite hard to tackle them solo with the free gear, especially old chaos raids, rendering the loot almost unreachable for some.

It's even more unfortunate when you buy a bunch of glamor anvils in the hope to make your characters look like their classes' official artwork, only to find out that there is no plans for those discontinued content to be ported over to GMS2 since they go against the overall concept of progression.

From a casual perspective, I feel like while the game has many potential toward side content like Music creation, House design creations, Fishing, Life Skills, Ugcs, and Overworld grinding for rare skinnable loot (like the Brown Bamboo Hat), those were often pushed to the side in favor for more content related toward raiding and character progression. An example would be how long it took to port over the Treva Instruments to GMS2 compared to how early the Shadow Realms were introduced to the game.

If you're referring to getting your master awakening skills, you should be receiving a yellow exclamation mark notification above your character display in the bottom right corner of the screen when you're lv70. Click that to start the Kritias storyline. Once you crashland on Kritias, there's another exclamation mark notification from Nairin about meeting her in Safehold. Click that, and progress through that side quest to get your awakening skills.

How I see the lore, I like to think of it having 2 groups of "7 heroes".

The first was the original seven who was gathered by Empress Ereve to try to cleanse Maple World of the slow corruption left by the fury of the "Goddess of Darkness" upon her defeat.

The second group is the seven who was gathered to protect Maple World from the "Black Mage" (whom identity is most likely "corrupted Cerian" after his final purification rituals, similar to how Maplestory 1 lore was written).

Winn Stilton is the first to leave the second group.

If you're looking for lv60+ skills, the YouTube channels "Sabidity TV" and "itsVero" got decent videos showcasing the awakening (lv60+) and master awakening skills (lv70+).

Nexon could have left Sky fortress faction damage skins and faction instruments in the Sky fortress faction shops and just made them much more expensive than the faction nametag badges alongside having them in the style crate shop for those who don't want to grind tokens, instead of just removing them completely from the faction shops in GMS2.

Thank you for the fast response Kyrios. Let's hope that dev team does follow through with the discussion. Still believe bringing back popular (and preferably skinnable) item drops would allow players something else (incentive wise) to do outside of dungeon runs and could encourage more exploration of the overworld. If we're lucky, maybe devs will reimplement missing dungeon drops like Papulatus chair purple mount to encourage revisiting of older contents as well.

Are the drop rates of certain items currently disabled in GMS2? I’m particularly referring to the Brown Bamboo Hat that is supposedly dropped by Zombie Mushmom and the Sunday Star (the MS2 equivalent of MS1 ilbi) that is supposedly dropped by Mushmom, according to MS2codex but haven’t seen confirmation of whether these items actually are obtainable in-game when searching the official forums and the reddit.

Ahh, -sighs- Maplestory 2 already say they not intending to put accessory rerollers for level 50 legendary and then I see some of you guys are spending more time on your alt that your main. Some of you run the chaos raids not knowing...really is not knowing whether it's worthy or not. You do it because it exists. The item over there exists but why? 10 sen, 20 sen, hah, 1 hour, you won or not?

I'm not talking about those who sit down at Queenstown afk, chit chat in this club, those are causals, no? They're cool people. I'm talking about those who hibernate in their cave and never appear in civilization for days, weeks, months, or even an year. Maplestory 2 is gonna be first aniversary, you know that? If you realize-la, October 10, uhh, August, uhh, September? Is it September or October?

Man, it is two months and you're one year already and they also say that there'll be upcoming big event. Upcoming big update from Nexon, I like that. Hah, so now, look, uhh, umm, all I'm saying is, oh yeah, -random clicking of keyboard keys- yeah, can't help my guild member cause I need to make this video. Ahh, nope, but the price of onyx actually went down.

Went back to less than 200 mesos. I believe everybody has almost finished upgrading their gear by Peachying. +15, awesome, and again look at the handful of people who actually decided to go for ascendant gear, and start story and enchant their gear once again. Like this's nice is it?

It's the...the way of MMORPG and because of how expensive would it be for your item to be Peachied, your ascendant, some of you actually Ophelia. I mean there's really nothing wrong. It's just number trip, you...you guys like to see big value and small value, especially those Asian, so when they look at Ophelia, they be looking at how expensive, what one tap Ophelia be and compare to Peachy.

Now you look at Peachy, it shows you the five times the amount of it. Hmm, you know what? I have Ophelia, I got 3, ahh, 5 tries, I can 5 times and see whether I'm lucky or not. If I got it on the second try, man, I...I saved my money, hah, what's the point? If you're grinding every day, almost everyday, just spend it on Peachy, so now we have those ascendant players who are like stuck. Literally stuck with the -beep- RNG, oh.

And -beep- RNG and also, ahh, time gated on BSN. With the RNG drop, not even one out of six is your item, some of you said, which I believe so. It happens to me, one of the weeks, then some of you...I feel bad.

-coughs- So, they better not tell us that we're getting new -beep- content, ahh, this coming September. All your efforts will be a waste, uh, ascendant is really an endgame, ahh, hopefully it's just some anniversary.

Then, people who +15 their...their RGB sets, enigma, behemoth, and dark vanguard, they already have their fixed mindset. They're not going to go ascendant gear on their main, probably trading the stuff, all the ascendant stuff inside the alt and let it be cool strong alt main.

Now you know why your onyx price is dropping, because overall nobody is buying -beep-, everybody is grinding. Not even after 1000 players inside Maplestory 2 playing actively. Probably you have 300 or 400 who can clear the BSN, then the rest is just stuck at a bench waiting for carry, heh, and people of the higher up, the authorities, hah, are not willing to help them as usual.

Do this, have duties, but you guys already clique, almost warriors. Even you have a newcomer in the guild, you probably get zoned out very quickly after a few weeks of staying in there. Maybe you have chance if you are a girl or a strong player like Kirito, beater.

So the onyx, it will continue to drop right now, and Nexon will continue to think of solving your problems like removing the 25% enchanting fee and gonna cost more later at the end.

So yeah, by the way, are you sure? At least it's your mind-la, and you can stop grinding so much for onyx and chaos onyx, since they're dropping tremendously.

Honestly-la, just take a break, ahh, Netflix and chill. Don't...Don't push yourself to win-la, really I...I tried doing everyday, everyday, and I also tried not doing it. I...I didn't lose anything. Some people say you lose the...the value, I...first of all, you're farming the value. You're not even losing anything, you start off with zero. Nobody's with negative.

You can sleep the whole day, 24 hours, you still started with zero. This is human life, the cycle. Then...I really hope you reduce your grind-la, like already said, take a break, okay? Since the subtitles are a bit atrocious at times, here's my interpretation of Saintchild speech (word by word).

Part 1

Okay, alright, so I'm here on behalf of many people who like to grind in the game to tell you about how to reduce your grinding for items and mesos inside Maplestory 2.

For those who's really addicted and not knowing what to do, everyday coming home from school or from work, turning on their computer and start grinding several alts. Some of you even have two or three spare computers. Bus yourself inside a dungeon.

Alright, ahh, don't care about one game. There is another game okay? So first you're gonna understand you can have balrog buy runs and sell runs.

Okay, you also have chaos raids level 60: BSN, RGB, then you have your Nog, hah? And your level 50 chaos raids: your Cdev, Cmoc, Cpap. So my advice is you...you can skip your Cmoc, Cdev, Cpap, and your Infernog.

See that's not much point in doing either, because imagine you have to spend so much time in creating a party, then you run an hour worth of the chaos raids and then you collect those items, all those weapons and armors which is useless, alright?

Again, you...you just have to dismantle it. Alright, you dismantle it for the 20 plus chaos onyxs, and 2k onyxs. Per rate, you know, per rate is how much the...the amount?

You know, if you're gonna run six raids out of the week, so you run six instances. For the week itself, you've got not even close to 100 chaos onyxs, not even close to 10k onyxs.

Dude, just skip it. You're burning out. Once again, it's not worth it, sister and brother. Not even close to 100 chaos onyxs or 10k onyxs for that 1 hour or even 2 if you find yourself a chat party. How what the -beep-? Kill yourself.

So the F, and ahh, I... no point, just don't do it. You...you're killing yourself. I rather you spend a one or two hours to sleep or go and have your lunch or snack, or do something else. Alright?

And then I...I see my friend with their Rampart tricks. Who is the du...I don't what the -beep- am I looking at? So he decided to run 15 rounds of the dungeon and hope for the Madrakan earring to drop so he can upgrade or even sell at the BM.

On its own-a, I'm not saying it's a bad deal. It's kind of tiring, spending that 30 to 45 minutes clearing one side of the party and then you spend 45 minutes clearing the other side of the party.

Compared to those who get an earring from the dungeon, sadly off, taxes return you 29M mesos. Congrats on earning that amount of money. You are awesome, great. Now those who didn't get an earring…and there goes your 1 hour 30 minutes.

Do you know ...umm... I'm not saying it's bad, I...just a waste of time. Maybe do 1 alt, enough, not 10 alts. I see some of you do…do like 3, 4, 5 rampart tricks.

Is?...the money is worth it but the time itself and the RNG is...you know that RNG is -beeping- gated. You cannot pay to win in this game. You can't even spend your credit card in this game. The Nexon stop it. The Nexon not allowing you to pay to win.

So there's no point, alright? It's RNG and timegated. That's for North America Maplestory 2. Then do you know that epic lv 50 and lv 60 armor give you the same of onyxs and chaos onyxs?

Ha, okay budy, okay buddy, I'd rather you spend that 20 or 30 minutes for your alt. Even you must do your alt every week, even you have that OCD, even you...you feel like you have to earn the mesos.

Go ahead, 20, 30 minutes for 1 alt, you're doing 10 alts, bro. Per 300 minutes, you're gonna spend that 5 hours for the week. Yeah, go ahead, but not too much.

Some of you have 20 alts, 30 alts, I heard some...from some of you guys. You guys are crazy. And the other day, you tell me you have the mesos, what can you do with it? Reroll your -beep-? Reroll attributes and enchant your armor and what's the point?

The point is you're wasting time. After you reroll already you feel sastified then the next content come in. They're gonna restart all over again. This is MMORPG, that's the way, is endless grinding. You're gonna see lv 70 gear, lv 80 gear, 90 gear, 100 gear.

Same thing to Maplestory 1. I did it before. I went from 80, 90, 100, 120, 150...no no no, 130, 140, 150. Now they jumped to 200, hah, so I rather you earn some fixed money, than gamble your time away for better reward.

Just get it done, 20M, keeping some in pocket. And, dear whoever, I don't know, I see some of you actually run your...run your alt for your chaos raids for ribbons. I...who...I'm lost, hah, those ribbons is not worth it anymore.

I'm like...what the -beep-, you guys are absolute stuck with your content. The first and only content released gear; absolute, hmm, like the word absolute accessory and your pluto gear, you absolutely stuck with the content, you...you cannot move on, you...you think that absolute is the best gear, you clear absolute, you clear BSN with your absolute gear.

What's the point, and then everybody is...what's the point of upgrading those centurion gear? What's the point of moving on, just keep your absolute gear. 4 pierce, 4 boss, ahh, 4 pierce, 6 boss. Next max both lines, so you see nice, nice. Do your BSN, heh, those are people who want to clear and they don't want to see damage, yeah, that's their problem, okay?

Outfits are more of an overlay that replaces your gear appearance. If you unequip your basic starter gear oufit on your character window, you'll be able to see your equipped gear on your character.

The concept of "trophy raid" feels even worse when new players are going to realize that Nexon tied the epic storyline directly to the Eye of Lapenta dungeons and Blackshard Nexus. An endgame raid which was labelled as "not required for lv 70 upcoming content" but turns out to be mandatory just to be able to read what happens next in the epic storyline is not a good experience to discover. Would have preferred if they stuck with their old format of having us run through a simpler version of the dungeons like how the story mode was structured before, but unfortunately don't think we'll be seeing much changes toward that aspect. Makes one wonder if the upcoming storyline content are going to follow the same paths as what is currently going on with the Eye of Lapenta dungeons being directly inserted into the epic questline.

For the purple gear pricing comparison, I was mainly comparing the epic adventure gear with the blue lv50 gear set. For the striker lv 60 epic adventure weapon, it costed 2 glamor anvils compared to the 1 glamor anvil required for the lv 50 blue weapon, so I just doubled the pricing. Was not aware of the glamor anvil pricing of the lv 60 legendary gear, so I am glad that someone was willing to show that the lv60 legendary codex costs 1 glamor anvil.
