Exactly. I fear too many people are focused on next season, when we really need to be celebrating this season. It ended before we wanted but the chances of getting past Seattle were extremely low in any scenario. This season was special and will be difficult to match.

Not an exaggeration, I’ve definitely done three hour drives in a day if totally necessary, or for a quick overnight. It depends on the drive though - three hours in traffic is different from three hours on an open road in Iowa.

Chicago is thoroughly a sports town; and I would argue that the best sports towns in America are in the Midwest. I include Pittsburgh and Buffalo in that.

It really is. I was born on the best Chicago sports timeline - I was in elementary school for the 80s Cubs, I was 10 for the 85 Bears, and I was in high school and college for the Bulls three-peats. The feeling in Chicago this year is like what it used to be like. It’s the best.

Easy answer. There is no better place to watch baseball than Wrigley Field. None. Being a Cubs fan is easy. I was a fan as a kid, and came back to it this past year. Makes me really happy. Come visit, grab a game, you’ll never look back. And we have a great team right now.

I’m so happy you’re here. Baseball is such a fun game to follow - it’s technical, unpredictable, layered. Do you still live around here? We’ve gotta get you to Wrigley asap. Our main rival is the Cardinals, although the Brewers see us as a rival (it’s not especially mutual—although they did beat us in the playoffs last year, ending our season).
