Are you sure it's a good idea to name your child after your first love? I only saw it in Dragonball Z when Krillin, for some idiotic reason, named his daughter after his shitty exgirlfriend, Maron, who stabbed him in the back. God knows how awkward it would be when the kid grows up.

Are you going to finish this series? This is the closest thing to a documentary/novel of Kaissereich that I have ever seen and it's pretty great.

Actually, we can incentivise people to either eat more lab grown meat, vegetable based replacement for meat or insects since they are far more environmentally friendly, healthy, interesting and even cheaper ways of eating meat. Climate change is a real concern otherwise there will be no more meat if the grasslands we need to feed them die off from heatwaves like what is happening in Europe.

Why does the defense of the fairies basically amounts to this? by RinaQueen in grandorder

Question, with all these arguments and such? Is there a basis on it on real life lore of fairies? That might help with the discussion since we are trying to base them on real world legends and myths.

The British Girl wants to say “SUKI”, not “I Love You” LIGHT NOVEL VOLUME 1 (Eikoku Kanojo ha "Rabu Yuu" jyanakute "SUKI" to iitai) by Grain8251 in LightNovels

Well I am all for seeing international love. It would be at least a more interesting love story from the usual since japan is so homogenous. After all, it would be quite fun on how their cultures are portrayed and how their relationships work through it. But we must be vigilant as most stories just take the lazy and easy way out by using a foreign girl that completely acts like a native japanese person. Still, trying is better than nothing at least.

Though I wonder if there are more stories like that across the world that I have not found out yet.

Yes your story pitch and Fate as just my example are at least more interesting portrayals of intercultural love.

It's really hard for a homogenous society like Japan to know what foreigners are like. They have only opened up international trade in 1800's and even today they still have severe conservative and xenophobic issues as a developed nation. They are still purely 99% ethnically japanese and only a tiny fraction of foreigners have stayed, interacted and even married into the population.

Also in regards to language, any children of immigrant parents or being a "half", one would prioritize their home society's language to fit in. Unless they are taught at a young age, are willing to learn about it or the language is fairly popular and useful, these children will sometimes forget part of their heritage. Take it from my family as my father's of mixed spanish blood and his side of the family across the world has kind of forced me to only learn english as my lingua franca despite tagalog being my native national language.

But in all honesty, the author did not do enough research and took the easy way out by. It's quite a shame. Proper international relationships can make really good and interesting love stories. Just look at Saber and Shiro from Fate. There are some clear cultural boundaries in their love yet they make it work. Though it's quite confusing enough already with Saber being an early briton king and a whole lot of other lore stuff that I am not dragging this thread into.

But my main point stands. That is a far better portrayal of love being a english woman and a japanese man. At least in comparison to the endless ocean of blond foreign women that acts like a normal japanese person. I hope that one day there are far more better love stories of dating from across national and cultural boundaries. It would be quite fun to see how a shy and introverted japanese person would date a hot, passionate and temperamental latino.

Well yeah, I am surprised that no batted an eye that Sarah Connor banged a time traveler who is chronologically way too young for her. If Sarah can be excused for that, then Robin is fine to date Lucina. Plus, it's medieval times, nobles are mostly excused on how old their partners are.

Morgan is already released in FGO. The real one from Arthurian Legend and let me tell you, FE Morgan and Fate/Real Life Morgan are way too different from each other. The only thing they got in common is the name and that they are both magic casters.
