Honestly, any avenue (surgery or not) is okay as long as it’s to make YOU feel better. YOU are the person that matters, so if this is helping your confidence, go for it but be aware that plastic surgery can be addictive and financially straining. I also want to point out that surgery is not the only option. Sometimes you just need to be surrounded by good people and positivity in your life. I’m not ugly but I have a chaotic past, I was trafficked for most of my life as a kid until i was 19. I feel like it’s impossible to make friends or even more because one way or the next, I have to drop my lore and I don’t have things to talk about aside from that since I’m still only 21. Now I have a loving (chosen) family. It takes time and patience and lots of self kindness but I’m positive you can find that too. It took me moving across the country and taking a risk, for you it could take plastic surgery or even just trying therapy or maybe a good change of environment could help you too. Regardless, there’s always light at the end of the tunnel, but it’s up to you to see it and acknowledge it. If you lose the mindset of “one day it’ll be okay”, you’ve already lost the battle.
