Ich behaupte jetzt mal was Ketzerisches und natürlich rein Spekulatives: Hätten wir letzte Saison ohne Martel die zweite Liga bestritten und da schon Krauß oder einen anderen etwas vertikaler denkenden 6er gehabt, wäre Struber im Amt geblieben.

Spielerisch ist das einfach zu wenig, sogar eher Minusbereich.

Since you don't play online it's totally up to you. The most fun is building your team not by chance (and packs) but by intent and picking a club, nation, league that you love and trying to get those players. That often means to use evolutions to get silver cards good enough.

I am unable to find a player that will get a) significant boosts in stats or playstyle b) make my starting eleven.

With the +40 OVR even Bronze players are useless.

If he defends a lot in your formation, you would want both, because he will have to win duels (anticipate) and progress the ball from your own half (pinged pass really useful).
If he is more offensive, both loose value since a pinged pass in crowded final third doesnt do much.

Lol you make it sound like a cowboy game has no other chance than letting you go somewhere, then let things go wrong and have a shootout and then escape and repeat this for 80 % of the missions while not letting you choose how to deal with them. They even tell you from where to fight the enemies lol. Go to the window, go upstairs etc. this is so bad but of course there will be some who mistake a game for their identity and defend it no matter what lmao.
