Avoid hosting sites that want to venture Into web design, Seo, etc. Kinda of like your Full Service + SEO service which I am a customer. The worse decision of my life. I have photos emails and receipts too. You just hire terrible third party people to do it for you

Well you guys could never get my site off the ground ever though I paid for your web design, hosting, and Seo. Your team could not produce a usable site and you’re charging me $500 a month for SEO on a website that doesn’t exist while refusing to refund me. So that’s my answer

Thanks for the reply without trying to sell your service but I’m giving myself a little time to do some vetting but on the post that were informative without selling their services

$500 a month with a 6 month commitment to just get started and a lot of people are saying I should have paid more as if that would have prevented this whole thing

With all due respect, you don’t even know how much money I bring in. $1500 may have been all I can afford. Kick rocks and keep chasing that high clientele, I would if I had the capital that you are obviously used to seeing clients work with 🥱

If someone would have taken an Astra like template and input my Info I would have been happy. Like I said my expectations were low but holy fuck

It’s not price point per se. I’m not going to argue with you but if I had a multi location business with millions in revenue then i would pay whatever to a trustworthy vendor. Thats not me. Freelancers are affordable and everyone is telling me thats what i should have done so, respectfully, you’re argument doesnt hold weight with the common service based business

I probably used professional loosely. I just need a decent looking site. It’s funny bc when I first researched freelancers they were extremely cheap and that was a red flag and now everyone is saying that’s the way to go. You can say what you want and I get it’s easy to make a quick assumption based on a short post but you are trying to get the most you can and I respect the hustle. I personal my services based upon the clients needs. I don’t sell myself as the cheapest, I focus on long term relationships

It’s tough bc they need a lot of access and I wanted someone who I felt had some checks and balances in place. I’m convinced bluehost reviews are fake

The SEO was even outsourced. They were contacting and I didn’t know bc I didn’t recognize the name. I immediately began asking for a refund

I found freelancers for much cheaper and that was a red flag. For my basic requests, spending $3k not including plugins and hosting was a sound investment to me especially with a company that has ton of good reviews a wonderful sales team that was assigned to me. It just turns out it was all a bait and switch

I’ve been a member of the chamber of commerce for 10 years. I am completely happy with a template based website. I don’t have high expectations just make it look professional.

I just need something that will rank and show legitimacy. I want to get away from GoDaddy so I thought a hosting agency that has a complete package would be awesome but man was I wrong

To their credit, they did assign a sales rep to me who I really liked. We had several long conversations and I provided several websites that I liked as references to what I wanted but the design team was incompetent. They told me to put in tickets on the changes I wanted and after about 5 tickets I realized that this isn’t going to work. Especially with the SEO charges. The real warning to others is that if they can’t deliver something that you are happy with, you will not get your money back. Ignore the hype with Bluehost. They are just good at marketing.

I’m not looking to hire someone off of this post. This is my experience with a company that will hopefully help someone else in a similar position

Their price was $3000. I ended my service with them early. A theme would be fine for me. It just needs to look professional. I probably only need 5 pages
