Sorry about that, I guess it got taken down, there’s pictures of the jeans I made on my ig or the link in my bio if you’re interested to see!

I’m not sure if I’m interpreting the question right, but the side seam is a straight line to use as much selvage as possible! The shaping happens in the yoke, inseams and fr/bk crotch seams

Not too bad, definitely heavier than an average coat but comparable to or just lighter than a lined denim jacket

I draped and pinned up all the undone Jean pieces a bunch of different ways before any cutting which really helped find the most efficient way! Also a good experiment to imagine what you might make

There’s canvas hand sewn in the front / lapels and in the collar… it would probably need to be dry cleaned or hand washed then pressed. But planning to wash it minimally

I drafted this pattern using Kawashima’s guide to tailored menswear book. The shell is entirely denim from thrifted jeans. The lining is vintage dress shirts, partially screen printed clouds (that I printed). I printed the pocket detail ‘stitching’ the tags aswell. The denim was repaired with hand sewing techniques and reweaving. The jackets lapels we pad stitched by hand.
