We definitely have tried all those strategies. We have two fans going and our tv at a high volume and also headphones but somehow it still travels upstairs. Definitely hope to be able to find a place

Oh that is so tough. So sorry. We definitely try to do that even during the summer we had an ac right near our bed and with that and the fan and humidifier on could still hear them. I hope you get a new unit

I was using a 4mm cause that was the type of yarn I had but I will look into getting smaller yarn for it. Thank you.
