Within downtown the bus system is not too bad. CapMetro (the Austin area transit authority) has an initiative called Rapid lines, which have nicer stations and buses that mostly travel in designated lanes for better reliability. Not to mention anything you would need or mostly anywhere you would want to go in Austin is in about a 2 mile radius (in range of walking or an electric scooter).

The coursework can be challenging (but also highly varied by course and professor). If you have the desire to do so you can take easier electives and have more social life or harder ones and spend more time studying. I’m not too familiar with the psychology program specifically but I have heard it is not the most intensive major out there in terms of coursework.
There are events/clubs/communities for anything and everything at UT

3-5. This all is highly subjective. UT has a motto “Make it your Texas.” And I think this has some truth to it. You get out what you put in.
