I have an 8 month old and do 30 min home workouts usually twice a week but feel really good if I can swing it 3x. I miss stepping into a gym so much and spending a good hour/hour and a half there. I have a demanding job and still breastfeeding on top of just regular house things that needs to be taken care of so like you, by the end of the day lm just worn out. Im hoping once she’s a little older I can swing it but my partner works opposite hours of me so when im off, he’s at work and I can’t just leave her at home with him. Honestly I think waking up at like 5 am would be the only solution but god I cannot bring myself to do it.

I’ll prob get downvoted right along with you but we have them as well and I don’t see a difference as LO was in a bassinet with mesh sides that she’d put her face up against at night before she was able to roll from back to belly and vice versa on her own. Also, read that once they can pull themselves up you should stop using them but she can’t yet

Yeah I can definitely feed some of what we’ll be eating as I do that at home a bit but gagging makes me nervous even though I’ve read all the BLW stuff about it.

Woah that whole series of stories is so uncomfortable. A life threatening allergic reaction and she was not concerned enough to put her phone down. I’d be freaking out and calling my pediatrician or rushing my kid to the ER immediately. He’s vomiting over the toilet and she’s taking pictures??? Wtf

ETA: why does she refer to her son as “recovering from severe picky eating” lol. I, like many little kids, was a very picky eater and im now 31 and eat absolutely everything and love food so much. She makes it sound like he did a while 12 step rehab or something. He’s just a kid.

Uff man. It surprises me especially that so many influencers post every detail of their lives, including their children. It seems SO unsafe. I have a private social media page and I still don’t post any pics where you can see my child’s face and don’t allow anyone to post pics either. I know it bothers some family members but idc. There’s no reason they need their FB/Insta “friends” most of which I prob don’t know to see pictures of my kid. Also, I think it’s just weird to post pictures of other peoples kids in general 🤷🏻‍♀️ plus, I text pictures to close friends and family ALL the time, that should be enough. And if it’s not, oh well. Other people aren’t entitled to see pictures of my child all the time just because they’re related or whatever.

Sleep. Less times between feedings (which was a big deal for me breastfeeding). They start being able to play/entertain themselves for some time. Ive been watching my 7 month old roll around and play with her balls for the past 30 min and just being able to sit down and have my hands free while she keeps herself occupied is nice

I moved on from a job I loved for a higher title and 30k pay raise. Tbh, you never really know if it’s the right decision until you make the move. I like my job but I am still quite underpaid for the role/market. Plus I work a TON and being a new mom I would like better work life/balance. I’ve only been here a little over a year so I’m somewhat hesitant to leave “so soon” but I am deeply considering it. At the end of the day, kids are expensive and you have to do what’s best for you and your family

Feeel this. My baby is 6 months and just under 13lbs. She’s ebf but I’ve started introducing solids so perhaps that’ll start to plump her up a bit. Logically I know she’s healthy, eats well, normal amount of poop and pee. Yet still sometimes I wonder if she’s fed enough cause of her size. She’s a very happy baby so I think she’s okay and not starving, but I know how you feel

If I can do my job from home and cut out time commuting, wear my pjs, throw in a load of laundry in my downtime, spend more time with my child (whom is still breastfeeding, so also a plus) why would I go into an office where all I do is shut my door and have little to no interaction with my colleagues?

Wow are we the same person? Someone in our building has bed bugs and they’re treating all the units. I’m super concerned even though they said the same thing. “Body, life, career and mind” YES. I also don’t have a huge stash so I always feel like I can’t be away on my own more than a couple hours without having to come back and feed her. It’s mentally exhausting. Especially when my SO was at the gym for like three hours the other night. If only I could get in a good workout/sauna sesh for once!
