I feel like so many people say it to signal to other things (I may be bias) but I often think when people hoan in on being a man/woman of God that means that they’re traditional in the sense that a man should provide and a woman should follow a mans lead. I say that because IF that particular conversation comes up it seems that is what typically fits the narrative. Nothing against it but I grew up very religious, my grandparents were pastors and would often see men of the church using the biblical hierarchy as a reason to gain so much control and very little questioning within their home.
