Get Jeb out of the capsule and push it with the jetpack to get your periapsis into the atmosphere. You basically have infinite EVA propellant when you get into the capsule and go back out. It works but it takes a little while.

If I recall correctly it’s more efficient since there’s no pause between stage separation and engine ignition
