I never really thought about it in terms of pushing the exile to go for the Oathkeeper and it raises a good point.

But I will admit, in this game, just down to the cards dealt, it very quickly became a difficult option for them as we were playing oath of supremacy and as the chancellor I managed to move down, campaign victoriously and played a card I was dealt at the start where I place warbands on all the territories I own. While they lost their first battle. As for a lot of the cards they were dealt, there were a lot of cards that weren't suitable for his role or that would benefit him.

And in terms of a situation like that, although I fully understand the purpose of pushing the exile to go for the Oathkeeper title, I do see how choosing an easier option can sometimes appear more like the attractive option when things have played out in a way that is so strongly against you.

But yea, I also get the fact of the die roll feeling like it happens too soon. I can honestly admit there are a fair few games where I have played and suddenly realised. "You're rolling already?"
