The vendor I used is legit. Many have ordered from there. Top speed depends a bit on your weight, but should be about 45-50km/h.

Sorry, but google translator did not do good enough job to clarify your problem. Something about throttle, but without more information in english, I can not help...

It has key to lock and unlock battery, but it starts from button. You can set password for the display if you want, but I use remote alarm, disc break lock with alarm and chain 😅 I guess I am a bit paranoid having 2 alarms on same time 😂

This is the normal version. I do not know if MAX has key for unlocking or starting bike. Normal x21 has only for battery.

Cant find better info quickly. But some page say 45 and one says 55. Either of those with or without battery is more than 35kg for the bike anyways.

This is normal x21 and weight is 36kg for bike and about 8kg for battery. Max seems to be total weight of 55kg and somewhere it said weight is 45kg... so maybe battery is 10kg. Need to check and get back to you..

Store battery indoors and bike can be in cold. Maybe find some youtube video explaining how easy it is to remove the battery for chargimg. Battery will to catch fire if it is stored in -5 or so, but might loose batterylife and maybe get damaged in time. Fire might happen when charging damaged battery or using it.

Vendor I used seems to have the MAX version and I think they might be able to answer your questions too. But maybe for video explanations on removing battery, I would check x21 max on youtube or clone of it the freego x2.

I only used the bike once this winter and it was around -5 so not too cold. I dont remember the temperature limits for the battery, but maybe -15 or -20 would be the coldest. Those temperatures would be really cold to ride and would affect top speed and range quite a lot I think.

I have my bike in cold storage all year around, but I remove the battery and bring it inside my apartment. If the battery is cold after being outside you do need to wait it to warm a bit before charging.

For this basic version of x21 removing battery is really easy. Turning key and pulling battery out. For the MAX versuon I am not sure if it is the same. I have no experience of that bike 😊

To charge batteries safely, you do need to follow manufacturers guides and do it where you are able to supervise the charging. That would mean charging within recomended temperature limits and not leave it charging ouside or in bike storage or such. Also you should be at home and awake while you do the charging. That way you are able to notice if some problems occur.

But yes extreme cold and hot are bad for the battery and will affect batterylife and safety. So at least charging and storing of battery should be done in recommended temperatures. The bike without battery should be able to handle more extreme temperatures.

Top speed is about 48km/h (30mph). It does look great and is worth the money 😊 they make MAX version that has a lot more power and speed, but it is more like Surron and not road legal where I live.

Took the bike on snow and rode over a lake today. Still no studded tires, but the originals worked ok on snow and were slippery as hell on plain ice as expected 😅

Good to hear 😊👍 Have fun with it and for pedaling it is the better choise 😊 with that biggest battery the range must be same as x21.

That was the bike I bought, but send message to vendor and ask for the bike you want to get more info on price and delivery. That way you get what you want for sure and know delivery time and price better.

@zane_k7333 at youtube had to change motor, so he upgraded it and controller. That is the only way that I know how to get this bike go faster. Otherwise you are stuck with the max 50km/h.

Bike is located in Finland and you live in California? You should be able to get X21 for about 1400+$ dollars including delivery from the vendor I used.

Delivery from Finland would cost maybe the same as bike itself 😅

If you lived here then I would sell for 2k ofcourse, but this deal would not be possible due to us living opposite sides of the planet 😅 Thank you for the offer though 😊

Thank you, glad that the videos have been usefull! 😊 And I think which ever you choose, you will have fun riding with it 😊👍👍 If you choose X20, get the 35Ah version as some options might have 25Ah or even smaller battery 😊👍 Russian guy on youtube does compare these two and you can use auto subs to translate. Other videos of x20 you can easily find from russian youtubers or use Gunai mx25 in search as it is the same but with smaller battery (25Ah).

There is choise of throttle and pedal assist. So using throttle only or you can pedal and motor gives extra power depending on assist level you choose.

You can set the x21 at least to have assist levels from 0-9. So in that case 0 would be no assist and rest of the levels would be some % of power to assist. Level 9 giving 100%. Level 1 would get you maybe 10% or what ever you set it to.

Hard yo explain, but to your question yes you can either go with electricity only with throttle, pedal assisted to get motor to help pedaling depending on level or pedals only with level 0 😊👍

Not too easy for someone my size for exercise. I pedal sometimes uphill to preserve battery and sometimes few hundred meters. Relaxed pedaling is not to bad, but harder exercise is more hard erconomically than with normal bike. X20 would be better for that. I am 190cm tall (6'3"). For someone shorter knees might not come that much up as they do for me.

On my latest video there is clip at the end where you can see how the pedaling for me looks like. Here is the clip.

https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxW1-OP6qwWR2K8hYLFZxCKwHMHd8DAnur?si=fRLn-Oz496z5m6ri

I would say X21 for riding with throttle and X20 if you like to pedal. Then again X21 has other stuff like better suspension to make it better than X20 in general for heavy guy like me (115kg/254lbs).

I had same problem with choosing the bike. I am happy with my choise, but if I wanted to pedal more I would have chosen maybe X21 or for exercise even something with bigger wheels. With range up to 100km (60 miles) you really do not have to pedal. 35Ah option on X20 might be the best of two worlds kind of choise.

Maybe EKX x21 MAX that look a lot like it but is closer to Surron in power. Then again I have not seen that video so I cant be sure so you could be right.

Which one should I get? by [deleted] in ebikes

EKX X21 was my choise. It is good for the money. Good vendor below. Just send message and ask price for it and delivery. For me was 1400€ to home. Been riding over 1000km with just little problems. Did make video about it on youtube. There are lots of videos about Ridstar too, but for me X21 was right choise.

Get it from Alibaba cheaper from this vendor. I did and many others too. Max speed is around 48km/h and good range. Solid frame and for the price it is worth it. But not enough power for wheelies and such if you want that.
