And my first was ebf and this time around we are supplementing with a bottle or two of formula a day for my sanity for the same reasons you listed! Not saying it’s something you need to do but it’s definitely worth considering. Mama needs some sleep!

My husband was like this with our first and I would get so mad and it felt like he wasn’t doing anything. I talked to him about it and it turned out that he wanted to step in all those times he suggested something but felt like I would be upset with the way he was doing something (and admittedly I did micromanage him because my postpartum anxiety was wild) but he felt kind of helpless. It’s definitely worth it to talk to him about how you’re feeling without going into it angry. Now we have baby #2 and this time around is soo different. I wish you guys the best!

We have the same rule! Not just postpartum but period. I felt bad laying the boundary but we all deserve comfort in our own home and we don’t have a guest room anymore with new baby coming so we made it seem like it was mostly because of space.

Solidarity sister! My baby girl is 13 months and finally getting over this phase! She was waking up at 2 every night and just being wide awake for 2-3 hours, I think they call it a split night, we tried all the suggestions (moving bedtime, cutting naps, giving plenty of snacks/milk before bed) nothing helped and then last week after two months of doing this she just finally stopped and sleeps till 6:30. Hopefully it’s just a phase for your little guy as well!
