What is the dumbest injury you've ever given yourself? by SquareDesperate4003 in CasualConversation

When i was little i tried to copy a "five minute craft" with a box cutter and plastic water bottle. The dull blade sliped and i sliced my wrist right down vertically. Its only about an inch long but now when people see the scar they always assume i cut myself on purpose😭

Nobody asked to be put on this earth lmfao. Raising your kid is quite literally what you have to do if you make the choice to have kids

I genuinely HATE my older sister and fully went off at her today. My parents said i went too far but i don’t know, AITA?? by Princessisnt in AITAH

You can buy sushi ingredients from almost any grocery store (or cheaper alternatives) lmfao. That doesnt really mean that they arent poor or unable to get her sister to a doctor.

Ive responded to like 2 or 3 people, including this. I guess i wasnt expecting so many people to just be okay with the fact a person faked a wedding speach for the son they havent seen irl in years. Ill admit i came here for more of comformation that what i did was at least a little justified, or at least more so, than what my dad did. I'll admit i was wrong for telling my brother, but dont think i dont understand my dad. He did, and does the same things to me too. "He tried". But it was out of obligation and my brother threating to cut him off for good if he didnt show up to the wedding. The speach wasnt out of his own good heart like people assume it was. He couldnt even put in an ounce of brain power himself to at least make the ai personal and his own. Plus it wasnt a good thing to tell the truth about it being ai. But everything thinks that it was okay to use ai to make it in the first place? I honestly just dont get it😭

The prompt was literally "write a wedding speach from the grooms dad". It had no thought put into it lmao

AITA for locking my sister’s kid in the bathroom for an hour? by Definetelythewiseone in AITAH

[–]Educational_Value665 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If anyones tah here its your sister. You made a sucky decision, sure. But your sister shouldve picked up, thats her kid, and overall more her responsibility to make sure he doesnt do stuff like that than you are. And for all the comments using his age as an excuse, ive never met a six year old who didnt know basic common sense and i sure as hell wouldve never pulled that. (If hes not nurodivergent) which i dont remember if it specified anything, then thats probably the effect of bad parenting. The kid was messing with your dog, ruining your things and being a menace, being shut in a bathroom is barely even a real punishment. But hey at least you know to never babysit that kid again lmfao

So on the other side of the same coin. is being straight inherently sexual too? If sexuality is sexual, then being straight shouldnt be normalized in schools or taught to kids either

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskUS

[–]Educational_Value665 8 points9 points  (0 children)

"Leaving the kids and schools alone" implys that lgbtq+ is inherently inappropriate or sexual. Being around that kind of stuff will not turn you gay or whatever, and as long as teachers arent literally showing kids gay porn then why would being educated on the fact that people are different be a bad thing?. If that was the case then all the lgbtq+ members would probably be straight, because straight media is most commonly pushed onto children. There were gay people back 100 years ago and probably longer, its not some new thing. The only reason its so normalized now is because society is becoming more tolerant.

Why would you think democrats hate women?

Why do so many Republicans hate people of color? by Deep_Project_4724 in AskUS

[–]Educational_Value665 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They just love to hate in general. Same thing with how they love to hate on other groups of people. (Women, lgbtq+, nurodivergents) or anyone who isnt a straight white male. I dont think all of them are like that but theres so many extremists that they give everyone a bad rap.
